Payne finds a new client after an altercation on the golf course, while Shultz represents a friend who faked his own death to increase the value of his artwork.
Payne is sued for malpractice by the hip-hop artist he was representing at the time of his breakdown, while Schultz represents a student wrongly disqualified in an elementary school spelling bee.

Without consulting with Payne, Shultz invites a paralegal to join their firm. To balance out the firm, Payne tries to hire his old secretary back.
