Stephan Burns played the drug division cop who backstabs Kennedy and attempts to take the drugs for himself (going to sell them for profit). He was one of the stars of 240-Robert after Mark Harmon left (Burns was only in 3 episodes).Burns later died in 1989 of AIDS (or any number of causes by what the internet is postin).I believe it was a blood transfusion after a car accident. The really STRANGE thing is,when this episode aired, during the closing credits,Ted Coppell's voice over is talking about AIDS.Strange huh? Life imitates art it seems.
The kids buy a vintage Ford Mustang at the end of the episode, and Wes lets them solo drive. There is an air of "finality" to the series in this episode.....the kids get their drivers licence and car,Wes gets to hang with a female he may consider marrying, and the guys chat together at the bust of the drug boss, reafirming their friendship with Kennedy, walking away one at a time. This felt like the end of the series.Obviously they knew the show was not going to be renewed.moreless
