10/25/86Wes struggles to protect a singer who's life is in danger but refuses to stay out of the spotlight. Robin is involved in a car accident with new boyfriend, Greg.
10/18/86Robin's request for permission to visit a birth-control clinic adds to Wes's worries at work, which include the theft of his truck, an armed robber with garlic breath and the return of a 12-year-old murderer.
10/4/86At work, Wes is teamed with an oversize partner who's a one-man wrecking crew, while at home, Kevin refuses to discuss his increasingly erratic behavior.
9/27/86Wes stalks a killer who has everyone on edge, especially Robin, who keeps hearing noises outside her door. Meanwhile, Kevin's buddies razz him about his new girl friend.
9/20/86In the special 90 minute opening we are introduced to Wes Kennedy. Wes has just lost his wife in a brutal murder. This is leaving him with brutal flashbacks of the murder. While recovering from his wife's death, he has shifted his job to the night shift to be at home for his kids in the day.
He is also on the trail of a cop killer. Wes believes this is the same person wh killed his wife. However, many in his department including his boss van Duzer feel he is too emotionally involved in the case.
While this is occurring, Robin, his daughter is falling in with the wrong crowd and Wes catches her witnessing a crime.
His son Kevin appears to be on the verge of manhood and is resenting all the attention his sister is getting.
