Nick been done for drugs? Greengrass obeying the law? Kate wanting to work with Alex? It's a great season finale is this episode! I like how it follows on directly fromt he last episode to make basically a 2 hour season finale (bit confused why they are not considered two-parters however?!?)
Anyway this episode has got a great Nick storyline - could this be the end for our village bobby? Im like how they finish off the first season maybe wondering whether at the start of next they maybe back at square one!
This is a superb season 1 finale and I reccomend it highly! Very good episode!moreless
AIRED:
There is an outbreak of sheep rustlings Greengrass of the crime. Greengrass ends up in court and is convicted for this, but Nick discovers holes in the evidence. Alan Maskell who is on bail does a runner to London. But unknown to him his wife Sandra suffers a miscarriage at the same time. Nick is asked to go for an interview to a job in London, which would guarantee a promotion to Sergeant.moreless

In the scene where Nick is in a London strip club with a London copper there is a scene in which one of the stripper's bare chest is shown. As this episode was originally aired at 9pm on a Friday night it was okay to show this. The scene has not been shown since but is on the "Heartbeat: End Of The Line - Keep On Running" video.
