    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    FILTER BY TYPE

    • TRIVIA (1)

      • After Bōma leaves the fight, on the English dub Edmundo calls out, "Hey!" The fake J stands up and background music starts and voices in the music answer, "Hey!" On the Japanese audio track, Edmundo actually says, "Oi!" (the Japanese way of saying "Hey") and the music voices still say, "Hey!"

    • QUOTES (4)

      • Robie: Who is this person, Antonia?
        Antonia: That's Dice.
Robie: I see. He must be your friend. It is important to be nice to your friends, Antonia.

      • J: What's wrong, Daisuke?
Daisuke: Which J am I talking to? The real one or the fake one?
Edmundo: Just shoot him. We can figure it out later.
Daisuke: If I do that, I'll get yelled at by Antonia.
Kyoko: Do you really like that woman that much?

      • Bouma: I can't harm someone who looks like my friend.
Daisuke: I thought you came here to help us.
Bouma: I will help if the situation turns desparate. But until that time, run for your lives.

      • J: A man should never try to imitate another man.

    • NOTES (1)

    • ALLUSIONS (1)

      • Blade: Star Wars
Iwanami uses a small blade that looks like a shorter version of a light saber from Star Wars. The blade glows purple, which is the color of Mace Windu's light saber in Star Wars: Attack of the Clones. There is also a shot of Iwanami from a distance that shows the light saber as blue, which was the color of Luke Skywalker's light saber in Star Wars: A New Hope and Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.
