On the English audio track, Shun asks Senator Noriega to appoint him as Committee Chief. The Japanese track has Shun asking Noriega to nominate him as, "dictator." In fact, the Japanese voice actor does not use the Japanese word for dictator, Dokusaisha (独裁者), and instead says "dictator" in English.
The portrait of Serge Echigo shows a somber looking man with long flowing hair much like that of Shun Aurora's except that Echigo's hair is white.
The black cat named Juliet, while not appearing to be important to the episode, actually had information about the Laundromat embedded in the sphere on it's collar. When Romeo is killed trying to find Juliet, the information is lost. However, Romeo had a back-up plan of inserting the information about the Laundromat into the wedding invitation he sent to Ken along with the post-dated message to inform Ken about the information hidden inside the invitation.
After Bōma leaves the fight, on the English dub Edmundo calls out, "Hey!" The fake J stands up and background music starts and voices in the music answer, "Hey!" On the Japanese audio track, Edmundo actually says, "Oi!" (the Japanese way of saying "Hey") and the music voices still say, "Hey!"
It is revealed in this episode that Claire's mother died giving birth to him.
During the conversation between Shun and Daisuke, Shun mentions the city that fell. This pertains to the time when the Celestials abandoned Judo, turning off the energy source that allowed the city to function.
Serge Echigo is the man who helped craft the android regulation law in Judo, which states that no android will be permitted within the city. At first, he wanted to create a monolopy of the android business. However, finding that he could not do this, he began to stage incidents that showed that androids were dangerous. The final incident, which forced the government to craft the law, was the murder of Daisuke and Shun's father. In effect, this incident killed two birds with one stone as Marius was also lobbying to dispose of the anti-immigration law that Echigo supported.
The phonograph that the man plays his records on has the stamp of Echigo on the front of it.
The TV broadcast ends with the word Oyasuminasai (おやすみなさい) which means Good Night.
The last half minute of 'Brother' had a splice error from the 'Circulation' episode. Daisuke talks to his brother about getting some food, then it jumps to the guy talking about Bunny, and finally to Daisuke and J taking a bath.
Just after Claire tells his men that he's going to, "put the cliff in front of everyone else," the stock exchange is shown and a man with a black shirt on tells his broker to buy. The kanji on his shirt, 東京, are the characters for Tōkyō.
The kanji on the head band worn by the russian roulette's victim says Tōkon or Fighting Spirit.
On Daisuke's computer, the main menu shows two selections spelled wrong: Illegal Aliens is spelled Illegalalens and Suspensions is spelled Saspensions.
The ambulance that J is put into has the kanji 消防課 on it. It says Shōbōka or Fire Department.
On a huge orange banner outside the Wei Building are the kanji 百福. The two characters spell out the Chinese word Baifu (Japanese: Hyaku Fuku) or Great Fortune.
Keep your eyes on the back of the gasoline tanker. Under the word Dinoxy is the name Echigo. The name, also seen in the last episode, will continue to be seen throughout the series.
Daisuke's binoculars have a label inside the scopes that says "Maked (sic) by Echigo". Keep that name in mind for later episodes.
