      • (About Nathan Handwerker undercutting his competition's price.)
Wayne Norbitz: He thought that, perhaps, because the price was only five cents, that people would think that the hot dogs weren't as good. So what Nathan's did was he hired actors to dress as doctors and wear white coats and stethoscopes. So the first week that Nathan's hot dog stand operated, in front of the stand there was always a variety of actors dressed up as doctors eating hot dogs to show people that, if it was good enough for a doctor, those hot dogs were good enough for them.
