    • TRIVIA (2)

      • Hey Grandpa, What's for Supper? Here's what's on the menu tonight:
A bowl of soup from well-dried peas, and a casserole dish of macaroni and cheese. Hearth-baked bread, fresh made just for me and a slab of cheese pie, and sassafras tea.

      • Hee Haw salutes Brutus KY, population 250, and Iron Belt WI, population 262.

    • QUOTES (10)

      • (After several bad jokes)
Scarecrow (Stringbean): They don't need me around here. These jokes would scare away anything.

      • Lulu: Cathy, I went to the movies the other night and I had to change my seat 11 times.
Cathy: Did some man bother you?
        Lulu: Yes. Finally!

      • (In front of the joke fence)
        Sunshine: I crossed a street in a maxi-skirt.
        Crowd: What happened?
        Sunshine: Nothing.

      • (During the "Pfft, You Was Gone" song, Archie sings the following)
You saw some sod on the trucks on the highway
and you said I was lazy and lost in a rut.
You said you'd be glad if I made enough money
to send out our lawn for someone else to cut.

      • Jennifer: I never could trust a man who starts buttering me up early in the day. Sooner or later he's going to put the bite on me.

      • (In station KORN News studio, with special correspondent Samuel B. Sternwheeler)
Samuel B. Sternwheeler (Gordie): During these troubled times of inflation, the housewife who has trouble keeping within her budget, would do well to follow the example of our friend, the giraffe, who can make a little food go a long way.

      • Lulu: Hmmmph. She's the kind of girl that don't care for a man's company, unless she owns it.

      • (Inside Dr. Campbell's office, Roy comes running in)
        Roy: Oh doctor, doctor.
Archie: Now look what you done. You made me break my cigar in 4 places.
Roy: Well, what you gotta do, doc, is stay out of them places! (Starts chasing Archie around the desk hitting him with a rubber chicken) Stay out of them places. Don't let me catch you in them places again. (Chases Archie out of the room) Next patient, nurse.

      • (Inside Gordie's General Store, and Junior walks in)
        Gordie: Good morning, stranger.
Junior: Good morning, storekeeper. Can you cash this check for me?
Gordie: I suppose so. Can you identify yourself?
Junior: (Checks himself) Yeah, it's me all right.

      • Gunilla: Why are you looking so sad Jeannine?
Jeannine: Oh, it's terrible. I just found out my marriage ain't legal. Paw ain't got no license to carry a gun.
