      • As of this episode, Hee Haw no longer aired on CBS (it was canceled when CBS did their "rural purge", with Mayberry RFD, Green Acres and The Beverly Hillbillies also being canceled). It would air in local syndication, where it was shown for another 20 years.

      • This episode marks the beginning of the 3rd season and a few changes took place. Jennifer Bishop and Jeannine Riley are no longer part of the cast. Sherry Miles, Ray Sanders and George Lindsey (the latter uncredited) join the cast. The cast intros are done at the beginning of the show instead of the end. New skits include Roy Clark as "Claude Strawberry, the country poet", and Lisa Todd and Grandpa Jones in "the adventures of Paulene and Pierre". There's a new music intro for Archie's Barbershop, and the cast sings a new song at the end of the episode.
