  • Dan is back

So this episode was kind of peaceful after everything that happened in the previous ones. So Dan is back and it has to happen at some point. The competition between Savannah and Marty was kind of funny but in the end everything go at their places and that was not surprising even if I was kind of expecting that to happen so fast. I was thinking that this story will last for few episodes...

Alice visiting Jake in jail was the parts which bring the most informations for the show. We discover some new aspects of these characters. They are less superficial as they were showing. They look more like young adults and not teenager.

Derrick is in the army? I didn't knew that! But him wanting to get married to Vanessa before being deployed was not surprising and it helps to develop this storyline that hasn't evolved in a while... the ending of this story was something we all expected for a while now.

So this episode was kind of not surprising but it brings some closure after all the dramas of the last episodes!!!!moreless
  • Not what i was expecting

I was hoping that maybe Dan and Marti would finally get together. But that's not what happened. Instead Dan went back with Savannah. If Savannah didn't interfere with Marti she would have told Dan how she felt instead decided that they're better off as friends and told him to go back to Savannah. I wonder if she believed that or just doesn't want to make things weird for her and Savannah. And Dan's father also told him that Savannah's better for him. Dan's father pointed out that Dan brought the girl he meet in New Orleans to be a buffer between him and Marti. I hope that later Dan and Marti get together. Savannah should give up on Dan and maybe take a chance with some other guy like the fireman she met. I hope that Wanda doesn't give up on trying to get them together.

We also saw Alice admit to Jake that the only reason she told him to confess was so that the Hellcats would be spared. I shouldn't have been surprised.moreless

Not an awesome episode of Hellcats, most of the episode was bogged down with treacle, and yes, this episode was eventful, but I just didn't find as enjoyable as I would have liked it too be. I was worried that Dan's return would ruin the chemistry the show has had the past couple weeks, and surely, I was right. Most of the episode was devoted too the Savannah/Dan/Marti triangle, and most of the scenes were quite predictable, and come on, it's a little over played by now.

I really don't know what to think of Savannah forgiving Dan almost instantly, what I didn't like is that the writers made Dan the "good" guy, and all was forgiven by the end, as if it were that simple. Finally the Vanessa drama is over, now she's going to get with Red Raymond - that's my next prediction, but I never care for her story line anyway. Alice visiting Jake in prison was definitely the best story line of the episode even if it was almost non-existent, I actually saw some true emotion, not syrupy cliche emotion, but true emotion.

All in all, I expected better from Hellcats especially because of how consistently good it's been, but this episode really wasn't much to write home about.moreless
