Episode Summary

After the incident in the car, Dan issues an ultimatum to Marti, demanding that she admit she has feelings for him or their friendship is over. Marti drags Savannah to a barbecue to try to cheer her up, but Savannah drinks too much and flirts with the DJ, which later puts her in an uncomfortable position. Eventually, Marti decides to tell Savannah about what had happened between her and Dan.moreless

Hellcats has overall impressed me through it's season's run. Of course we've had some clunkers this season, which I wont mention, but there's just episodes like these that remind me why I watch this show. Brilliant choreography, intriguing drama, interesting characters, and just a great plot line. Would not call the idea of the show original, but Hellcats is definitely something we haven't seen in a while.

As for the episode, there are a lot of things that are holding us over until the new episode in January. Such as Marti's blow out with the squad, Dan leaving, the case that Marti has been working on, and whether or not she is in actual trouble, Charlotte's pregnancy, Savannah's video, and of course Alice's possible betrayal.

Savannah almost getting date raped was a very intense scene, and I'm glad Savannah still has her virginity which makes her original. At least the writers finally now what to do to have a successful episode of Hellcats. Keep Lewis, Rhonda, and Vanessa scenes to a minimum, and you got yourself a great episode!

Just so much things that have been building over the course of 11 episodes, and this was just an explosive way to close 2010. Hopefully Hellcats will only get better from here on out. I sense big changes come 2011. Can't wait to see how it all plays out. My only complaint in this episode is the focus on the singer, who basically had more screen time than Alice.moreless
  • An interesting mid-season break.

Well, I am starting to wonder how many times they can tear poor little Savannah's heart out and squash it. It's a regular event on the show now but maybe this time Marti won't get another change for redemption.

I have to laugh at the sudden choreographed dance routine they can produce every episode but this cowboy set was pretty good. I guess goody goody Christian school girls wear jeans while the naughty hellcats wear daisy dukes. I am curious, when do they ever cheer at football games anymore?

The only aspect I disliked was the Hellcat's coach having a dream that wasn't Derek. This whole angle of her with the football coach isn't that interesting to me.

Now Marti did a good job being one of those "meddling kids" when she took back her computer. Modern day Scooby Doo right there if she had a dog. Anyway, a good ep that builds for the spring time return.moreless

    • At the end of the episode, Dan's truck is shown with a license plate on the front of the truck. In Tennessee, drivers are only required to have a license plate on the back of the vehicle. As a result, it is almost impossible to find a vehicle with Tennessee plates on the front and back.

    • When Marti calls Dan at the end of the episode, his phone lists her phone number as (615) 555-0179. The 615 area code is the Nashville area code, not Memphis, which is 901.
