  • This series seems to be getting better with each episode as we get to know Gordon and the chefs better.

The agony of Jeff with a kidney stone was shown but if you have never had one you cannot imagine the pain they carry. After he passed the stone no one seemed to grasp that and for that they should all have to pass one.

Jeff was not doing a good job for the last two services and when Gordon got on his case to get his attention, he walked out. The rest of his team rally to make up for his departure.

Another less than stellar dinner service sends another wannabe home.

They bad ones are getting weeded out and maybe they are finding people that can actually learn and cook.moreless
  • what you get from gordon is shocking!!

I thought when jessy (blue team) had to nominate her best friend was harsh. And then thought that gordon would kick out andrew, but then didn't...ohhh snap!! What a sad moment!! Oh, well!!!

    On to the next episode!!!

    PS: GOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! Michael!!!

I'm pulling for him (we both have the same style)cause i can't even get a nice job with out the boss looking at me with some disappointment.

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (8)

    • Service Period: The Red Team won the service period. Although both Teams had difficulty preparing meals on time, the food critics in the restaurant preferred the meals prepared by the Red kitchen.

    • In the closing credits, it says that Jeff LaPoff decided to leave Hell's Kitchen due to an injury. Presumably, this refers to his bout with a kidney stone, since no other major injury to the contestant was shown, and before he walked off the line he seemed to be working no worse than normal.

    • Jeff passes his kidney stone during this episode. None of the other contestants are very impressed by his travail, however.

    • The Red Team: Chris, Elsie, Jimmy, Michael, and Jeff

The Blue Team: Ralph, Jessica, Wendy, Mary Ellen, and Andrew

    • Team Info: Michael was transferred to the Red Team in order to even out the number of contestants on each team.

    • Reward Challenge : Ramsay asked the Teams to cook him a five-course meal of original dishes. The catch was that they only had 10 minutes of shopping time at a local supermarket' all the Team's members had to stay together at all times, and they only had $100 per Team to spend at the market. The Red Team won the challenge, winning an evening out at a pub with Ramsay, while the losing Blue Team stayed behind to clean the dorm.

    • Walked Out: Jeff, a member of the Red Team, walked off the show. Ramsay still eliminated a contestant from a Team, meaning that two contestants left during this episode.

    • Best of the Worst: Ralph

Nominees for Elimination: The Blue Team's Wendy and Andrew.

      Eliminated: Wendy

  • QUOTES (4)

    • Chef Ramsay: (upon seeing the HK logo Michael carved out of mushroom) Michael, you smart arse. What is that out of?
      Michael: Mushroom.
Chef Ramsay: Mushroom. Next you're going to tell me you have that tattooed on your butt.

    • Chef Ramsay: (eliminating Wendy) Wendy... well, you know it's about time I put you out of your misery.

    • Chef Ramsay: (reflecting on Jeff's walk-out) Jeff..well, I had to laugh when he called me an a**hole. I've been called far worse than that.

    • Jeff: I'm not a quitter.
Chef Ramsey: You're not a cook either.
