This was interesting because Jimmy broke out from being the butt of the joke, to really doing an excellent performance that Chef Ramsay had to compliment. Later in the dinner service, Jimmy was apparently the first person to ever say "no" to Chef Gordon Ramsay, which seemed to cause time to slow for a moment, but just when you thought the world was over, things went on as usual.
In the competition, I liked the idea that the three people who had actually done the flambe before screwed it up, while the two who had never done it before got it right. I think it comes down to Michael, Ralph and Jessica figured they didn't need to listen to instruction from the Chef, because they already knew.
In the end Jimmy got the boot and it really seemed Ramsay was sad to see him go.
A fine episode.
