    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    • TRIVIA (4)

      • This is the first time Chef Ramsay told one of the chefs dismissed during a service (Lacey) to return to the kitchen and say a proper farewell to her teammates.

      • For the TV Guide photo shoot, the Red Team all wore black chef's coats of the kind worn by the Combined Team of finalists from the previous seasons.

      • Rewards Challenge: Chef Ramsay challenged the aspiring chefs to a blind taste test. Chefs from both teams competed head-to-head. For the final pairing, Chef Ramsay served a minestrone soup, with the two competing chefs pairing off trying to identify the ten ingredients in it. As the teams were uneven, one member of the Red Team had to sit out. LA chose to sit out, as she felt her taste was a little off and she was a smoker.

Reward: The Red Team won the challenge by just won point. For winning, they participated in a photo shoot with TV Guide's Craig Tomashoff.

Punishment: The Blue Team also got to participate in the photo shoot-- in the form of serving lunch to the Red Team. They then had to complete the prep for both kitchens, as Hell's Kitchen was opening that evening.

      • Ejected During Service: Lacey. She proved completely incapable of performing on the meat station, leading Ramsay to lose patience and tell her to take off her jacket and go home.

Losing Team: Red Team. Following Lacey's ejection, the Blue Team rallied and completed a full service. The Red Team was shut down before they could finish service.

Nominees for Elimination: Chef Ramsay asked the Red Team to come to a group decision on two chefs to be nominated for elimination. They were ultimately unable to come to a consensus, with Carol, Andrea and LA all nominated for elimination. Disappointed with their lack of teamwork, Chef Ramsay asked all three to step forward.

Eliminated: LA, as Chef Ramsay felt that she was lacking in both leadership skills and creativity.

    • QUOTES (12)

      • Chef Ramsay: (as he passes a tray of food to a waiter, about Carol) Sorry about the time, Ditzy's nail broke.

      • Danny: (to Lacey as they prep for both kitchens) Set up the station.
Lacey: (after calling her teammates jackasses) Hee haw!

      • Chef Ramsay: LA was a real workhorse in the kitchen. I kicked her out because she lacked two crucial skills to be a great chef-- leadership and creativity.

      • Chef Ramsay: Blue Team, spacey Lacey-- gone.
Robert: (humming and dancing) She's done.
Chef Ramsay: Since I've been here, I've never ever seen more teamwork than tonight. Well done.

      • Narrator: As the Blue Team nears the finish line, Chef Ramsay has a question for Carol.
        Chef Ramsay: Where's the chicken?
        Carol: It's coming, right now.
Chef Ramsay: Yeah, so is Christmas, madam. Where's the chicken?

      • (Lacey has just been kicked out of Hell's Kitchen during service and Robert finds himself to be the opposite of broken up about it.)
Robert: (in an interview segment) There's a small violin, just for Lacey. Eh, pbht. She sucks. Adios, beeyatch.
Chef Ramsay: Piss off, let's go! Step up a gear!
Lacey: (in an interview segment) On one hand, it's a relief I can get back to normal life. (outside the kitchen) At least now I'll get some sleep at night. (in the interview segment) But, you know, another part of me wishes to stay and learn more and have that chance to win, but unfortunately I ****ed up tonight and I can only look back on the positive things, which there weren't many for me. You know, my mom told me when I came here, 'Don't make enemies,' and that's the first thing I did and kept doing the whole time I was here. Sorry, mom, I should have listened.

      • Chef Ramsay: What's the matter with you?!
Lacey: I can't cook meat, Chef!
Chef Ramsay: What do you mean, you can't cook meat?!
Lacey: Obviously I'm way too confused.
Chef Ramsay: Hey, madam, madam. Get out! Get out!

      • Ben: Lacey, talk to me.
        Lacey: I don't know. I honestly don't know.
Ben: Okay. (in an interview segment) Boy, oh boy. Lacey had no clue what she was doing.

      • Danny: (in an interview segment) V.I.P. tables to me are just like any other table. I put 110 into every dish every time. (in the kitchen) Two regular scallops. Wells are right behind it.
Chef Ramsay: Good. Very nicely cooked, Danny.
        Danny: Thank you, Chef.

      • Danny: (in an interview segment) I have no idea what's going through Lacey's head. You either need to cook, or you need to pack up your knives and just get the hell out.
Lacey: ****ing jackass, I swear to God!
Robert: (in an interview segment) Every time I heard her clucking away in the ****ing kitchen, all I wanted to do was just put her out of her misery.

      • Ben: (in an interview segment, regarding Lacey) She is something else. There are few people that I have met along the way that have created such a sick feeling in my stomach... All I wanna do is put her out into the street and call her a cab.

      • Robert: (in an interview segment) I'm not Helen Keller, bro. I'm not deaf and blind. I cook with all my senses, you know what I'm saying?
