Rewards Challenge: For this challenge, Chef Ramsay told the aspiring chefs that they needed to cook 80 portions each of a chosen dish for a vegetarian lunch that would be eaten by mystery guests. Chef Ramsay lead the chefs to believe that they were cooking for vegetarians, but the actual guests were 80 schoolchildren. Reward: Tennille's dish was selected as the best by 55% of the children. For winning, she was treated to a day of pampering in Beverly Hills, followed by a lunch at Nobu, Los Angeles. Here, she got to have lunch with Gordon Ramsay prepared by master sushi chef Nobu Matsuhisha that included sashimi salad and King Crab Tempura. Additionally, she received a gift of authentic Japanese knives by J.A. Henckels. Punishment: The losers had to clean up after the mess made by the children, including scraping gum off of the undersides of tables and sweeping away confetti. They then had to prep for service, which was being held that evening.
Eliminated: Tennille. Tennille made so many mistakes compared to the other chefs at dinner service that although she was not kicked off during service, Chef Ramsay saw no need to to go through the normal elimination process once service was over, instead telling her straightaway to take off her jacket.
Kevin: (in an interview segment) Just two more people in my way.
Chef Ramsay: The greatest comeback. You never forget that. Tennille: No way.
Chef Ramsay: (to Tennille) Listen to me. I am so proud of you. You fought back like I've never seen anybody in Hell's Kitchen fight back and you are an amazing competitor.
Dave: I feel good. I feel strong. Please don't take me out of this. Unless you think I'm not a good enough chef. Then take me out, but not 'cause of my wrist.
Tennille: (in an interview segment) Today I won a challenge, had a great day out, and then tonight was the worst night I've had in Hell's Kitchen and I'm devastated.
Ariel: (in an interview segment) Trying to communicate with Tennille is like talking to a brick wall. Anything that you say goes in one ear and right out the other, 'cause it's a state of panic.
Dave: You can't put high quality ingredients in the hands of somebody as dangerous as Tennille.
Narrator: With Tennille stalling the entire kitchen-- Chef Ramsay: Come on, I've stopped! The whole **** line has stopped! Narrator: -- diners are forced to wait for their entrees. Male Diner: You visualize what you want out of life. If you visualize food, it will appear.
Tennille: (in an interview segment) Gordon Ramsay wants absolute perfection, but that damn bass, man, people don't realize that bass can be the death of you!
Dave: W-I-N. Win. I'm here to earn Chef Ramsay's respect first and to collect the prize second.
Tennille: (sighs, in an interview segment) Breathe. Relax! Don't stress out. I know how to cook, I'll be fine.
Chef Ramsay: That is my key ingredient: Passion! Aspiring Chefs: Passion!
Dave: (in an interview segment) Tennille cooks food well-suited to a child, but she's not good enough for the Araxi.
Dave: (trying to play to the kids during the challenge) Who wants a sandwich from the one-armed bandit? That's my name.
Ariel: (in an interview segment) Dave is the one-armed bandit for sure. I give him props 'cause that's not easy to do all this stuff with just one hand. Very impressive.
Chef Ramsay: There's no bigger pain anywhere in the world than a vegetarian, yeah?
Tennille Four people. Am I the only one like, 'What the ****?!'
