    An all new set of contestants attempt to impress Chef Gordon Ramsay with their culinary skills in order to win the position of head chef at NYC's BLT Steak restaurant. After they present their signature dishes for Ramsay, they prepare for the first night's dinner service, but one aspiring chef must be rushed to the hospital before it starts. Later, the service is full of problems, leading Chef Ramsay to ban three contestants from one of the teams from the kitchen.

    The remaining 16 chefs attempt to make a comeback from their disastrous first dinner service, but once again they seem to take two steps backward with each step forward.

    After a disastrous dinner service, only fifteen of eighteen contestants remain to try and convince Chef Ramsay that they are worthy, but will the next service be any better?

    Hell's kitchen goes to the birds when Chef Ramsay gives them a chicken challenge that includes catching live fowls. The winners get a day of play with go-karts, while the losers must prepare chickens for the next service. In the service, each team has a pair of Olympian athletes to feed- assuming they can successfully get the food out of their kitchens.

    After a demonstration of the techniques in making ice creams and sorbets with liquid nitrogen, the contestants are given 45 minutes to make six dishes using only fire and water, with the losers cleaning the hot tub and the restaurant's fountain. Later during dinner service, both teams have trouble completing their orders up to Ramsay's standards.

    The contestants are told that Hell's Kitchen will be throwing a high school reunion party, so for their first challenge, they need to impress their clients with their menu ideas. The winners get to relax on a yacht, while the losers decorate the restaurant for the night's dinner service. That night, one team has a meltdown after a promising beginning, while the other starts slow but builds to a solid finish.

    Tempers flare in both kitchens, as teammates fall out with each other. But there is still cooking to be done, and for their first challenge, each team must prepare 5 dishes that include at least one type of beer. The winners get a day of Grand Prix racing, while the losers are stuck back at Hell's Kitchen taking in deliveries of food, kegs of beer and ice. During dinner service, both teams make mistakes, leading Chef Ramsay to yet again declare both teams the losers.

    Chef Ramsay challenges the two team's weakest leaders to rally their teams in a comfort food challenge, with the winners getting a laugh at the other team's expense, as the losers prep both kitchens and clean the dorms. At the night's dinner service, one team displays "harmony", while the other team's output is dismissed as being "noise".

    The contestants need to be at their sweetest when they are given a dessert challenge. The winning team flies to Sin City and meets Holly Madison, while the losers prep the kitchen for Hell's Kitchen's "Date Night", which includes a raw bar. At the dinner service, both teams struggle, and finish the night shorthanded.

    The contestants' taste buds are put to the test, with the winning team getting a relaxing day horseback riding through the Hollywood Hills, while the losers prep the kitchen for a special steakhouse service.During the split dinner service, one team cooks while the other waits on the tables. But when both teams falter, will Chef Ramsay decide to cut more than oneperson from the competition?

    Chef Ramsay takes the competitors on a field trip to BLT Steak in New York, to show them what they are fighting to win. Back at Hell's Kitchen, the contestants must use a slot machine to determine the ingredients of a dish they must prepare for the Chef, with the winning team getting a fun day at Venice Beach while the losers prep both kitchens. At the dinner service, both teams struggle to complete their services, especially after several of the contestants are thrown out by Chef Ramsay.

    Episode 12

    The two teams are challenged to make three entrees. The catch: one must be made in 30 minutes, on in twenty, and the last in only ten minutes. The winning team gets to go shopping, while the losers set up the dining room for the next dinner service, in which Hell's Kitchen will be hosting a charity dinner.

    The remaining contestants vie with contestants from past seasons.

    For their individual challenge, each chef must create something special out of Alaskan salmon, the winner receiving a helicopter ride and lunch at the Water Grill, while the losers prep salmon for the service. At the dinner service, a couple of the contestants struggle until Chef Ramsay throws everyone out of the kitchen.

    The remaining chefs have one last shot to prove to Chef Ramsay that they deserve to to make it into the finals.
