Hellsing

In the small english town of Cheddar, a recent rash of ghoul sightings has forced the local police to investigate. Seras Victoria is one of the cops called in to check things out. She was just a regular cop until she was taken hostage by a vampore priest. Unknown to her, The secret organization known as Hellsing had already sent one of their best agents to handle the problem,Alucard. Alucard is a vampire who hunts over vampires. Alucard get to Seras in time to stop the vampire priest and saves by turning her into a vampire. Overall, the first episode of Hellsing does a great job in introducing the main characters. It is full of action and blood,something a show about vampires should have. Alucard is a cool character and this episode proves that fact. I could go on about how awesome this episode but if I did that, I would ruin it for you. If you like shows about vampires, check this one out.

I really don't know what overcame me to download the "Hellsing" anime series...I'm not the biggest fan of it. However, I *do* love good and evil type things, and this show's concept sounded really good. A Van Helsing type thing with hunters who fight vampires, ghouls, demons and other things that are anything but heavenly.



I was pleasantly surprised by this show and I will in fact finish the series. It was sort of shocking, how adult this actually was. It's gory, with adult language and demonic images, and some disturbing moments. It's not perfect...in places the voice acting is very dull and it starts off kinda weird, and some places are just too slow in the story. Maybe all anime is like this, I don't know. But still, overall, it was good. If you like anime and stories of vampire hunters you should check this out.
