Incognito makes several references to Set (sometimes spelled Seth). Set, a deity in the pantheose of pre-Helenistic Egypt, was the primary deity of the ancient Egyptian concept of hell. According to ancient Egyptian mythology, Set murdered his brother Osiris in an attempt of gain supremesy of the Underworld. Osiris was said to be resurrected and later cast Set into the Egyptian desert, away from the life-giving Nile.

The term Paladin has it's roots in Latin - Palatine Hill was the site of the Imperial Roman palace. In in the final centuries of the Roman Empire, Palatines were court officials and advisors to the Roman Emperor. By the middles ages into the post Renaissance, the word became Paladin in English and German. A Paladin, during this point in European history, was a social rank - often symbolic - denoting direct service to the King. In the case of this episode, I speculate that the rank of Paladin implices direct serves to the Vatican administration.

The handgun that Alucard uses is entirely fictional. The .454 Casull is available only in large frame revolvers. The model 1911A frame used by Alucard is currently chambered only for the .45 ACP. In the late 1980s, Colt Arms manufactured a model 1911A in the 10mm, but it was a complete failure because the 10mm proved to be too powerful a round for the model 1911A. The .454 Casull has a ballistic energy coefficient 4 times higher than the 10mm, and about 5.5 times higher than the .45 ACP. A model 1911A would be blown to pieces if ever chambered for the .454 Casull. Most indoor target ranges prohibit the use of a .454 because it is too powerful of a round and will damage the range equipment.
