Episode Summary

After He-Man puts an end to their latest plot, Skeletor and Beast Man plan to get rid of him once and for all; with use of invisible helmets they sneak into the Royal Palace and kidnap Prince Adam, to use as bait to lure He-Man out into a trap. Unfortunately, one of Orko's magic spells has gone wrong, teleporting the Sword Of Power away into Eternia's distant past, leaving Adam unable to transform into He-Man. While the Sorceress sends Orko and Cringer back in time to try and retrieve the sword, she has a special assignment for Man-At-Arms to trick Skeletor into believing that He-Man is about when he is not...moreless

  • Disappearing Act

Disappearing Act was a great episode of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. It was cool to see another of Man at Arms inventions. Skeletor's plot proved to be tricky for He-Man as Prince Adam is captured. It was awesome how Skeletor sneaked into the palace. I loved the back and forth power struggle between Skeletor and Beast Man who had a good laught at Skeletors expense in the end. I look forward to the next episode!!!!!!!!!

  • Not exactly a great one.

The root plot "kidnaping Prince Adam to lure He-Man" is fine with me. But this episode's got a big lack of creativity and seriousness. Everything that Skeletor has done in this episode is nothing comparing with some stuffs he has done in some other episodes. I said before "kidnaping Adam" idea is OK, but the way he does that is really silly. "I will kidnap prince by becoming INVISIBLE" uuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! C'mon, being invisible is not a big deal if you're in a world where everyone has some power. And not to mention his way to defeat He-Man if he ever appear - "he's going to point his staff at He-Man and turn him into a stone"! WOW! How long was he making that plan? See what I mean? Skeletor had better and way more creative plans than this one. And that made this episode very unserious. If you're a new He-Man fan, don't watch this episode first, if you want to catch the true MOTU spirit!moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (2)

    • There is an interesting reference in this episode to the 'cave of Cambro'- although the two seem unconnected, Cambro was the name of the giant in the later episode "The Heart of a Giant". Since one of the writers of this episode, Robby London, also came up with the story for the latter episode, the name most likely stems from him.

    • Why would Prince Adam have drawn his sword just because Orko's magic had gone wrong? There was no need for him to draw the sword at all, it was only done for plot convenience.

  • QUOTES (2)

    • Man-At-Arms: Being the most powerful man in the universe isn't all that makes He-Man such a great hero. Being strong is fine, but there's something even better. In today's story He-Man used something even more powerful than his muscles to beat Skeletor. Do you know what it was? If you said 'his brain,' you were right. And just like a muscle, your brain is something you can develop to give yourself great power.

    • Cringer: (as Adam begins his transformation into He-Man) This is the part I like! (preparing to become Battlecat) This is the part...I don't like!
