Episode Summary

EDIT
Angered by his continual defeats, Skeletor blames Beast Man, banishing him from Snake Mountain and his evil forces. Meanwhile, King Randor is preparing for a Royal tour of Eternia, accompanied by Man-At-Arms and a guard of his choice. The King chooses He-Man, but Adam, upset that he always has to play down his qualities to hide his alter-ego, convinces the King to choose him instead. Beast Man spots the touring party, and aided by his Shadow People followers, he ambushes them. Determined to prove his worth to his father, Adam resists transforming into He-Man and instead tries to stop the attack as himself, but he is overpowered, and Beast Man captures Randor, intending to use his capture to win his way back into Skeletor's good books...moreless

Prince Adam No More was an exciting episode of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. It was great to see some character development for Prince Adam as he joined his father on a Royal tour. There was lots of action and intrigue as Beast Man plotted his way back to Snake Mountain after being banished. Shadow beasts are crazy! It was cool to see King Randor fight. I have to wonder how he doesn't already know He-Man is Prince Adam, but there was definitely a hint at the end. I look forward to watching the next episode!!!!!!!!!

  • Probably, one of the best episodes of the series!

    9.0
While I was watching He-Man, I was always annoyed with the fact that Prince Adam is OK with that he have to play an idiot in front of the others in order to keep his He-Man identity secret. Until now! Here we finnaly saw that Adam is worried about his reputation, and therefore he even thought about telling his father his secret. And then the Sorceress barged in with the ages old "you will endanger your love-ones" story. This would have some logic if the royal family wasn't already Skeletor's target in every freakin episode. Both Adam and He-Man are hanging out with the same people so much that it's a miracle that noone still haven't realised that Adam is He-Man. That's why I don't think that revealing that Adam is He-Man would be such a major twist in the story. But, since I like that secret identity concept, I'll play along here. But again I'd be satisfied if hero reveal his identity to someone he cares about, or who he trusts. I especialy liked the end where Adam subliminaly gave his father food for thoughts that he might be He-Man. See, Sorceress!? That didn't hurt, did it?

As for BeastMan's side of the story, I won't waste words on it, because it's painfully predictable and there wasn't even much Skeletor. That's the only reason why this ep hasn't got a 10.moreless

    • Orko: Today's story was about love. But a very special kind. It was about the love a parent has for a child, and I bet that's the strongest kind of love there is, because for one thing, there's just about nothing that can change it, no matter what. Maybe like Adam's father, your parents find it a little difficult to say 'I love you.' Even so, you can be sure they do. Besides, let me ask you something, when was the last time you said 'I love you,' to them? Bye!

    • Man-At-Arms: Look, son. You were given the power of He-Man for a reason: to help others. Noone ever said you could use that power to make yourself happy.

    • King Randor: What, and miss a good scrap? I never told Adam or Man-At-Arms this, but I used to be quite a rowdy in my youth!

  • NOTES (1)

    • This is an important episode for learning about the characters of Adam, King Randor, and Beast Man. We see Adam's identity crisis and his struggle with having to keep his double identity secret, we see Randor's adventurous streak and rarely-used warrior abilities, and we see Beast Man's full strength as a villain and his desire to overcome Skeletor.
