Goof: When Orko gets scared of Man-E-Faces after he turns into a clone of Orko, Adam has He-Man's laugh.
Other memorable features of this episode are The Sorceress appearing in her true form outside of Grayskull, and a blink-and-you'll-miss-her cameo by Lady Edwina from "Creatures from the Tar Swamp."
This was the first appearance of Man-E-Faces in the series. His character was changed substantially from Mattel's original concept - rather than being a hero/villain with a split personality, he is portrayed as an actor who uses his faces mainly for theatrical purposes. He went on to appear only in one further He-Man episode- season 2's "The Shadow of Skeletor".
In this episode we get to see the hidden slot in Prince Adam's bedroom wall, where he keeps the Sword of Power.
Orko: Man-E, could you help me with a problem?
Man-E-Faces: Sure Orko.
Orko: I can never remember anything. How do actors learn their speeches?
Man-E-Faces: By rehearsing. We practice saying them again and again. Well that's what you have to do. If you're trying to remember something from school say it to yourself over and over again. Rehearse it in your mind just like an actor.
Orko: Say goodbye, say goodbye, say goodbye.
Man-E-Faces: What are doing?
Orko: Oh, I'm trying to remember to say goodbye. Bye! It worked!
Teela: Well, if we've got a new friend, I'd like to know his name.
Man-E-Faces: Name? I never had one, not a real one anyway.
He-Man: Then we'll give you one. One that is fitting for your many talents.
Orko: And your many faces. Hey! That's it! MAN-E-FACES!
