  • The "Superman" episode of Heritage Minute is one of my favorites. Although Joe Shuster's ideas are all plopped together you still feel some Canadian pride in knowing what he is about to create.moreless

Maybe it is the comic-book fanboy in me, but I always get hyped up after seeing this episode. I can play it again and again and never get sick of frequent viewings. To see Joe Shuster brainstorm and get inspiration for one of the big comic-book icons ever created is like watching gears work in a clock. Every detail counts and that's exactly what this episode accomplishes. Although I doubt there really was a Lois in real life she certainly was a decent foil for Shuster. At the very end when she is given a sketch of Superman, with the John Williams signature score to help unravel the importance of the moment. If you can't feel a bit of Canadian pride after watching this, then I don't know what to tell you. This is a pure Canadian moment.moreless
