Would they do an actual 6 episode mini-series. Or sort of do half hour episodes, each about a different hero? Both sound good.

I think i heard somewhere that it will be 10 episodes and that it will take place during the hiatus of heroes and i am guessing but i recon that they will be an hour long.

Currently, Heroes: Origins is set to be 6 one-hour stand alone episodes.  Each episode will focus on the back story of a character, (I think they are all new...).  It was suppossed to be that fans would vote on their favorite new character and that character would be part of Season 3, but Tim Kring decided to change that.  Now, the episodes are probably going to include some things that happened in the regulur Heroes episodes, and then some of the characters will have an impact on Heroes at a later date.

These episodes will most likely air while Heroes is on hiatus in the spring or Heroes will run 24 episodes straight and Origins will air after.  Origins will probably air to cut down on reruns so that viewers stick with show.  Especially with the 3 million viewers drop between early March and late April.

     Hope that helped!

Yeah basically what's already been said, 6 stand alone episodes, each with a completely separate storyline, each with a new 'Hero' whos story is told within that half-hour episode.

Might hold small clues to the main plot but not things you need to see to understand Heroes, just little things that relate to bits of the show.

Airing sometime in March / April when Heroes takes it's mid-season break.
