    Hopefully you all read it but just incase here it is;

In post-finale live blog, Heroes creator Tim Kring talks a bit about the upcoming spin-off.
The Petrelli brothers are the bomb, yo.

The Petrelli brothers are the bomb, yo.

Now begins the painful period for Heroes fans who must sit idly until next fall, when the saga of the ordinary people with extraordinary abilities continues. Last night's finale literally ended with a bang, and even touched on what viewers can expect from volume two, which is subtitled Generations.

One of the things that fans are looking forward to in the second season is the six-episode series spin-off called Heroes: Origins that was unveiled at NBC's upfronts last week. The half dozen shows will air during the regular show's midseason break, bringing the total number of Heroes episodes to 30 for the season.

On a live blog hosted by NBC.com, Heroes creator Tim Kring answered fans' questions, one of them being about Origins.

"The idea was to try to do about half a dozen episodes that are stand-alone episodes dealing with the origin stories of characters all around the world who are waking up with the discovery of these unique abilities," said Kring. "They are not connected necessarily to the show Heroes, but if you do watch or are a fan of Heroes, you'll see tiny little clues that tie into the show."

And there's good news for fans who grew up watching old sci-fi shows. Kring wants the storytelling to be similar to that of The Twilight Zone's Rod Serling.

"[Origins will feature] cautionary tales and morality tales," said Kring. "Dealing with these people with unique abilities. So they're completely stand-alone episodes that don't follow a serialized formula."

When the spin-off was first announced, NBC said that one of the new characters featured would become a member of the Heroes cast, but that doesn't seem etched in stone yet.

"Some of the stories in Origins can be similar to characters currently on Heroes and one of the people on Origins may be involved on Heroes, eventually..." (emphasis added.)

Kring also touches on season two, saying that the "Volume 2: Generations" storyline won't take up the entire season.

"...as you notice Volume 2 started the end of tonight's episode, but by no means does Volume 2 have to be the entire length of Season 2," he said. "In fact, don't expect it to. It will end sometime in the middle of the season, wrapping up a story with it that will allow us to launch in to a new storyline."

Kring also states that they're working on getting Christopher Eccleston, who plays Claude Raines (the man with power of invisibility), back for the next season.

Nope, 1st January 2008. The season breaks are two, one in December and another one in April. It's almost the same with all shows.

Copy/Pasted from a post I made to the Heores Forum:

    http://www.tv.com/heroes/show/17552/random-question.../topic/66185-831162/msgs.html?msg_id=8445431#13

They won't show ORIGINS until late April/early May. This will mean all 24 episodes of Heroes will have aired and eneded a little early (usually ends in end of MAY).

    http://www.orlandosentinel.com/entertainment/orl-heroes07aug09,0,6295059.story which says:

Heroes will produce 24 episodes next season. The plan is for them to end in April. Heroes: Origins, a six-episode anthology series, will air in May and introduce characters separate from the main series.

    Q&A
After touring the set, we went on to a panel with the cast and show creator Tim Kring. They shared a few interesting tips and tidbits for season two, which begins Sept. 24.

    • Season two does indeed begin in September, and the show hopes to keep fan frustration to a minimum (ahem, "Lost," ahem) by cutting back on breaks. Kring said the idea is to run 24 episodes "as contiguously as we can," with a break at Christmas and again in early spring. But when the 24 episodes have all aired, the six-episode spinoff, "Heroes Origins," will begin, starting in late April and running through May. Each episode of "Origins" will introduce a new character, and at the end, viewers vote on who should join the cast. (They've learned a little something from "American Idol," I would say.) "Clerks" director Kevin Smith will direct the first "Origins" episode.

Or from Comic Book Resources: http://www.comicbookresources.com/news/newsitem.cgi?id=11412

Next up, Kring addressed "Heroes: Origins," the six episode spin-off that will air over six consecutive weeks starting in April of next year. Each episode will be stand-alone and feature a new hero coming to terms with their powers. Since participating in "Origins" only requires a one-episode commitment, Kring has compiled a short list of ideal writers and directors they'd like to bring into the "Heroes" family.

    Or from http://www.ropeofsilicon.com/news.php?id=6788

Here's some big news, Kevin Smith will direct one of the episodes of Heroes: Origins which will debut in April. It's a six episode external season, with more directors to be announced later. One of the cast members joked that he had J.J. Abrams number handy (now wouldn't that be nice?).

The Heroes: Origins series, from what I've heard, will feature a completely distinct writing and producing crew - it will be about six new heroes discovering their powers. Creator Tim Kring said that each of the stories will stand alone and will probably involve a morality angle or cautionary tale. I know one of the ideas thrown around previously was that the fans would vote on which (of the six) heroes would transition to the actual show. The Origins show will premiere in April, but the primary franchise, "Heroes" will come back for season two on September 24th with 11 straight episodes.

    FROM above in forum too...

So while we can speculate about season three, we can also speculate about the Characters of Origins too.
