  • Ali Larter

    Niki Sanders/Tracy Strauss

    9.3
New Jersey native Ali Larter began her career as a model at the age of 13 before moving to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career. She started off on stage and guest starring on numerous television shows, including Chicago Hope, Just Shoot Me, and Dawson's Creek before landing her first film role in the independent feature Casanova Falling. But it was her role in Varsity Blues opposite James Van Der Beek that really caught the attention of audiences. Her breakthrough role required her to wear a bikini made entirely out of whipped cream. It made an impression on Van Der Beek's character and quickly made an equally strong impression on casting directors. Larter soon found herself winning roles in several major projects over the course of 1999. First up was Drive Me Crazy with Melissa Joan Hart, in which Larter played Adrian Grenier's girlfriend. She followed that up with The House on Haunted Hill, in which she played one of several victims (including Taye Diggs) who are offered a million dollars to spend the night in a haunted house.
Larter's next major film role is in Final Destination with Devon Sawa and Kerr Smith. In it, she plays one of several passengers who disembark an airplane when one of them (Sawa) has a vision that the plane will crash. The plane does, but the victim's relief is short-lived. Soon thereafter, one by one, they each start to die in mysterious ways. The film promises to be much more than just another horror film, particularly with its intriguing theme about fate and death. If the film does well, it could finally be the one that puts Ali Larter permanently on the list of sought-after young actresses.

Heroes has been her big break through where she plays Niki, the super hero with a split personality. However it is unknown is she will continue playing her character until the end of the show.moreless

    Nathan Petrelli

    9.1
Adrian Pasdar was born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, but at the age of 2, his father, a prominent heart surgeon, moved the family to Powelton, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia. In high school, he excelled at football, eventually leading to a football scholarship at the University of Florida in 1983. Football may have been a promising future, had it not been for a terrible accident during his freshman year that left his face scarred and his legs badly injured. A very driven Adrian finished his freshman year in a wheelchair, doing intensive physical therapy and turning his attention to campus stage productions and redicovering a childhood interest in writing and acting. No longer able to play football, he dropped out of school and returned home, taking a job with a theater group People's Light and Theatre Company. Here he worked on sound and lighting and also did set construction. One day, while constructing a set, he cut off the end of his left thumb. Adrian, having the ability to turn tragedy into triumph, used his medical compensation to pay for attendance at the famous "Lee Strasberg Theater Institute". At the age of 19, he auditioned for a role in Top Gun (1986). Director Tony Scott was so impressed that he wrote the part of "Chipper" just for him. This led to bigger roles in Solarbabies (1986), Streets of Gold (1986), and Kathryn Bigelow's 1987 cult vampire movie Near Dark (1987), with Adrian in the lead role of Caleb Colton. Other major roles include Vital Signs (1990). Adrian has always been an actor ahead of his time, opting for roles in independent and cable movies long before they were considered fashionable for feature actors to do. In 1992, feeling completely out-of-touch with reality, Adrian left Hollywood and returned to New York. He worked as a cashier for room and board, while taking the occasional small part, such as Frankie in 'Brian De Palma''s Carlito's Way (1993). Another major break came in 1995, when Adrian was cast as the title character on the short-lived Fox series _Profit (1996)_. He continues to act in supporting roles and has now added directing to his already impressive body of work. He wrote and directed the short film Beyond Belief and also directed a feature film Cement (1999). Marital status: Married Number of Children: 2moreless

Sendhil found himself performing in the stage play Our Country's Good and he was smitten. He knew from then on that he wanted to perform on stage or before the camera for a living. His parents supported his decision even though they were surprised by it. They had gone so far as to offer to pay for his drama s in London, England. He took advantage of the fact that his family was very well off and picked only the roles that appealed to him. • George Takei

    Kaito Nakamura

    9.0
George Takei played Hikaru Sulu, the helm officer aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise on the original Star Trek series. Takei was born in the Boyle Heights district of Los Angeles. He and his family lived there until World War II when, after the attack on Pearl Harbor, they were relocated to a detention camp in Arkansas. From there, they were again moved to another camp at Tule Lake in Northern California. Takei went to college with thoughts of being an architect, but soon changed his major to Theater Arts. He graduated in 1960 with a Bachelor of Arts degree, with a minor in Latin American Studies. Takei made his acting debut in a Playhouse 90 production when he was attending UCLA. While he was taking s, Takei also trained at the Desilu Workshop. After a biking trip across Europe, George returned to California and began guest starring on series such as i>Perry Mason, Mr. Novak, Hawaiian Eye, I, Spy, It Takes a Thief and My Three Sons. Takei appeared in one Twilight Zone episode ("The Encounter"). It was aired once, but due to its controversial content regarding a Japanese traitor in WW II, it has never been shown again. Takei first began his Star Trek adventure with "Where No Man Has Gone Before," which was the second pilot that finally sold the series. In that episode he was said to be a mathematician. Once the series went into weekly production, he became the helmsman and a part of the bridge crew. During the first season of Star Trek, Takei managed to make a guest appearance on Mission: Impossible, and, during the show's second season, took time off to film "The Green Berets" with John Wayne. Takei's film debut was in Ice Palace with Richard Burton. It was a role that required a lot of make-up, as he was seen in various times throughout his life. After Star Trek was canceled, Takei did guest stints on many primetime series, including Kung Fu, The Six Million Dollar Man, Baa Baa Black Sheep, Miami Vice, and a dual role on the long-running series Hawaii Five-O. In 1972, Takei was a California representative in the Democratic National Convention, and in the fall of 1973, he ran for Mayor of Los Angeles. He didn't win the election, but it did cause a local station to stop running Star Trek and the Star Trek animated series until after the votes were cast. Takei's competition felt that his voice and image on television every week created an unfair advantage for Takei. In the '80s, Takei hosted an informational series for television called Expression East/West, which dealt with issues involving human relationships. Takei co-wrote (with Robert Asprin) the science fiction novel Mirror Friend, Mirror Foe. In 1994 he penned his memoirs in To the Stars. In 2005 Takei created a media sensation when he came out to the press for the first time as a gay man, and revealed publicly that he has been in a committed relationship with his partner, Brad Altman, since 1987. Takei subsequently became a spokesman for the Human Right Campaign, championing legalized gay marriage and other issues of equality on behalf of the gay lesbian, bisexual and transgender community. At the same time, he freely made fun of himself and his newfound notoriety through guest spots on numerous TV shows such as Will & Grace. Takei also surprised the world when his familiar baritone became the official "voice" of the new Howard Stern Show that premiered on Sirius Satellite Radio in January 2006.moreless
