  • Trivia

    • When Hiro takes the baby bottle and gives it to baby Matt, the milk is clearly moving despite the fact that Hiro has stopped time.

    • When Hiro unplugs the TV, its clear that the actual set is still plugged in. A green light is visible on the bottom corner of the TV which indicates that it has power.

    • When Hiro unplugs the TV, he unplugs a 3-prong plug. When the TV turns back on and they look at the plug on the floor, it is only a 2-prong plug.

  • Quotes

    • Ando: People like us are being arrested.
      Janice: By who? The government?
Hiro: Yes. They're rounding us up. And they're coming for little Matt. We were sent to help.
Janice: The government is coming for my son? He's just a baby. He's no threat.

    • Micah: I thought that because you looked like my mom, that I knew you.
Tracy: If I met you earlier in my political career, maybe I'd be more like my bio. But I'm not that person. I'm not your mom.
Micah: I know. You're nothing like her. My mom, who was the everyday American, was a hero. You're just a politician.
Tracy: And who are you? Che Guevara?
Micah: Che Guevara led a revolution. This is a rebellion. So whose side are you on? And "mine" is not an answer.

    • Daphne: I didn't know you could fly.
Matt: I didn't know you could run on water.

    • Daphne: You convinced them I was Gwen Stefani?
Matt: Uh... yeah. Got you a good room, didn't it?

    • Angela: Hello, Millie.
Millie: You look like you've been mugged and the first thing they stole was your dignity.

    • Tracy: So we just walk out the front door?
Matt: Yeah. Aren't you glad you waited for us?

    • Noah: How did you catch him?
Danko: I'm smarter than the average bear.

    • Angela: This should be our last conversation. It's not safe for you to be seen with me.
Noah: I'm touched. Or I would be if I could imagine that you really care about my safety.
Angela: What I care about is having an awful lot depending on a man too distracted to pack an umbrella on a cloudy day. Or use a proper razor.

    • Daphne: You really would do anything for me, wouldn't you?
      Matt: Just say the word.
      Daphne: Then let me go.
      Matt: (hesitates) What?
Daphne: We're still in the hospital, aren't we? And this is all you in my head, trying to give me a storybook ending.
      Matt: I'm sorry.
Daphne: Don't be. I'm not. But, Matt, you deserve the real thing. Not a fantasy.
Matt: I just wanted to make you happy.
Daphne: You did... Do one more thing for me?
      Matt: (choking up) Anything.
Daphne: Fly me to the moon.

    • Hiro: (in Japanese) Heroes change the world. Not diapers.

    • Matt: A penny for your thoughts.
Daphne: Since when did you start paying people for their thoughts?

  • Allusions

    • Danko: I'm smarter than the average bear.

Referencing Yogi Bear, an animated bear created by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. He starred in The Yogi Bear Show and the movie Hey There, It's Yogi Bear! (1964). Yogi, along with his sidekick Boo Boo, roams Jellystone Park, steal picnic bears, and avoids Ranger Smith.

    • (Hiro and Ando hide in a closet, leaving only their faces showing out of a wall of stuffed animals.)

This mirrors a scene in the movie E.T. in which E.T. hides among the toys in Elliott's closet in the same manner.

    • Noah: (as Building 26 loses power) Rebel, Rebel.

Rebel Rebel is a song by David Bowie from his 1974 album Diamond Dogs.

    • Hiro: Like a baby Genesis Device. Life from lifelessness

The Genesis Device is a machine that is featured in the movie Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. The device was capable of terraforming a barren or inhospitable planet into an Earth-like planet. Its effect was described in the film as "life from lifelessness".

    • (Daphne stands on Matt's feet so that he can fly with her.)

This scene may be a reference to the movies Superman (1978) and Superman Returns (2006) in which Superman flies with Lois Lane in almost the same way.

    • Ando: How could Parkman be a baby?
Hiro: On The Next Generation, it was a transporter accident.

In the episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation entitled Rascals (6x07) the characters Captain Picard, Ensign Ro, Guinan, and Keiko O'Brien were turned into children by a transporter accident.
