...at least TRY to be shy about it!

"String Theory" is a blatant rip off of the epic X-Men "Days of Future Past" storyline.

Read the link and tell me that I'm wrong:

This show was promising, but it seems they ran out of ideas.

Hopefully, Chris Claremont will be getting a check for this episode.....

The director I believe says that this episode was inspired by the X-Men storyline. He's not ripping them off, he's just a fan.

I guess that also means that every movie made about black and other racial oppression must have ripped off the first movie about it... get over it, it wasn't copied or ripped off unless done EXACTLY the same... hell, even Hiro mentioned this very issue (though he said issue 143, it was 142) in the first episode of Heroes. Ripping off is taking lines and direct things... not the framework of a story. This is a homage, not an actual rip-off. Did the person who ordered the mutants to concentration camps also a mutant themselves? No? Well wadda ya know, something ORIGINAL.

I think he's running the risk of ripping of The Watchmen even more. A giant tradgey in New York city that heroes try to stop, but one hero encourages to create a "stronger, loving world." Pure watchmen. They could have at least picked a different city -_-

I am huge X-men fan and I know a lot about it. Heroes really resembles X-men.

But I like Heroes, too. It doesn't matter it's like X-men.

If you're going to be pissed about something, at LEAST have all your facts right.

They've paid many respects to X-Men, because that is probably the single biggest superhero genre there is. They even had Stan Lee in an episode. Most of the people on this show, cast and crew, are big fans of the X-Men. And with a show like this, is it 100% impossible not to do ANYTHING similar to X-Men? X-men did it all, but what they didn't do was include heavy drama. That's what Heroes is about. Not flashy powers. Not dynamic costumes. It's about the drama of dealing with what you have.

    Now chill out.

    Well, yeah they're definitely similar but I don't think it's a rip-off.

During the mid 80s, the producer of Heroes Tim Kring created a  TV show called Misfits of Science, it's about a team of ordinary humans with special abilities. But it's possible that Misfits of Science was also inspired by the X-men comics.

It's not an outright rip off like Mutant X. Heroes pretty much stands on it's own.

That's because that's probably what would happen in real life if people did manifest superpowers and superhumans like Magneto and Sylar ran around committing crimes. People discriminate against other people with different skin tones. How do you think the world would react to people with superpowers?

The destruction of any other city in America wouldn't have a big enough impact on the world.

Really, not even, oh, I don't know... Washington D.C.? You know the nations captial? Where the President is? Where all the really important people are? That would definitely have a bigger impact.

NYC is still the largest city in America and, I believe, the most densely populated. A lot more civilians would die if the bomb goes off in NYC than in D.C.

You're silly and looking to be all knowing. So let me say something to you.

Many businesses are run from New York City from every genre of the work force. Modeling is huge there, which means many modeling agencies and the like are started there. Many empires, such as Donald Trump's empire, has their base smack dab in the middle of Manhattan. The stock market is a big part of NYC, and correct me if I'm wrong, but the home headquarters of the stock market is in New York City. All that money, all that business...gone in 60 seconds. Can you tell me what international businesses make their headquarters in Washington D.C. besides the US government? Any international businesses that, if HQ was destroyed, would literally affect the entire world way more than those in New York City? Honestly? I don't think you'll be able to. New York City is where SO much is, and Washington D.C. is a little more expensable than NYC. Sure, if it was destroyed, it'd be devastating to our country. But with NYC destroyed, it'd be devastating to our world.

i completely agree with this statement, and seeing as there is no x-men tv series (live action) being shown at the moment.. this is really great
