Indeed it did, began with such great potential and it goes out with a whimper.

I always thought the show would have been much better served if they had an entirely new cast every season. Maybe carry one character over between Seasons for a sense of familiarity. In this sort of show, it keeps it fresh. But alas, they made bad choices with bad writing and the show failed. The real b**ch of it is, next Season looked like it had some real promise to it.

it would be better if they carried a new season but in a comic book format.... It cheaper and it will give the die hard fans some type of closer...

One didn't need to be Issac Mendez to see this coming and yet I'm surprisingly sad by the news. It deserved better than being unceremoniously cancelled like that.

This is terrible news. You'd think after being on for 4 years they could at least give it a proper ending. I can't believe the writers ended S4 with a cliffhanger when they knew it was in danger of being canceled.

    RIP Heroes

I am so mad right now, if I had one of those NBC's "board-room" twits that made this decision, I would punch them out. What happened to the "maybe" there will be a 13 episode season to wrap things up? As it is the writers left way too many un-answered questions. What about Clarie jumping from the ferris wheel? The reporters all saw it! It will be in the news. What about Sylar? He is good now...Remember when Peter went into the future? How things were different? People were all like the Heroes? Just because Hiro got rid of that formula, does not mean that another could not be made from Claire's blood! Do you remember what Peter and Sylar say to each other when they see Claire reaching the top of the ferris wheel? Peter: "She gonna change everything" Sylar: "That's right, it's a brave new world". That in and of itself was enough to give Heroes another season...stupid writers and stupid NBC!

Well, hopefully we will get a tv movie of heroes, which is the rumor going around. I'm sure tim kring and the writers would want to end heroes on a good note, and tie up loose ends.

This sucks. Heroes at least deserved some closure. They should have let them have one last season knowing it was the last so fans could get the ending they deserve.

Looks like I was right with my prediction over a year a go.

I didn't even watch the last season.

Clear example how bad writing can ruin a good thing that could have lasted for years. (Come on recycling defunkt 4400 scripts.....)

I said it would be cancelled months before the official... my posts got deleted, i expect an apology from the mod that deleted my post!.. I WAS RIGTH ALL THE WAY!... now what we got here is an show without a proper ending, to bad. but we also god a damn good first season, to bad they could not continue the good writing to keep it up. hopefully there will be a good replacement show, the ones that are left dont hold up good, and lost are at its finale...

I don't mind a cancellation if it cannot be avoided, but for a 4 year run at least give the fans some closure. I haven't watched the last season, but reading the Posts here i presume it has no ending?

At least they could give it an ending just a two hour something to finish it off.

I saw this coming-I think everyone did-but I was hoping there would at least be one more season to give it closure. Hopefully these rumors about a 2-hour movie finale are true
