  • Two weeks later, Peter is comatosed after the vision he had, Matt tries to uncover Mr Bennet but jeopardises his job in the process, Claire sees the true face of her father and the rest of our Heroes try to figure their next move. Niki's still behind bars

    9.9
The twelfth chapter is more exciting than ever. Continuing from the previous chapter two weeks later, Peter is comatosed after the vision he had and both his mother and brother are left to figure why. The dream he had was about the exploding man. The same vision will be seen twice in this episode but with alternations the second time. We are introduced to a man with a beard who is laughing while Peter can't control his exploding power. The laughing man is an important character for the next few episodes and in this chapter we also discover his ability.
Furthermore, Isaac returns to New York healthy and without the need for drugs to paint the future. We find that the last two weeks he, Hiro and Ando have been working together to stop the bomb. Hiro tries to steal a sword (after he sees the painting with the dinosaur) in order to regain his abilities. When Simone visits Isaac's loft with Nathan (who insists on meeting Isaac in order to discover what is happening with his brother), our Heroes meet each other. Isaac, Ando, Simone, Nathan and Hiro all meet and try to solve the mystery of the exploding man (the scene where Hiro yells flying man is funny as well as the scene where Hiro tries to say the word ''villain''). Simone, after being convinced that Hiro is in fact the guy that Isaac has been painting the last couple of weeks she helps Hiro to find Linderman in order to retrieve the real (as the one Hiro stole from the museum is a fake) sword of Takezo Kensei (keep the name in mind as it really important in the second volume and also keep in mind the meaning of the helix symbol given by Ando).
Matt convinces Audrey that Mr Bennet is holding Sylar in captivity but it turns out that Mr Bennet knows how to hide his trail. But Matt is more suspicious than ever. Meanwhile, Claire is lying to her father about not remembering anything about her Homecoming. She realizes that her father is lying back to her. The Haitian, even though he is working for Mr Bennet, seems to have an agenda of his own (although he seems to be working for somebofy else). Claire realizes that she is once again by herself as Zack doesn't remember anything. She tries to remind Zack what he has forgotten by making another tape (the issue of her biological parents comes up which is something that will be of interest in the next episodes). Mr Bennet offers an alliance to Mohinder, who seems to be very defensive towards Mr Bennet. He finds out what has happened to Eden and is more determined to find the special people in order to warn them about Sylar and Mr Bennet.
Niki is still behind bars. In the two weeks that have passed Niki confessed that she killed people (and she revealed where they are buried) and she assaulted a police officer. She is too closed to be put into an electric chair when Jessica emerges during a conversation with a lawyer and it is decided to be given a psychological evaluation instead. Meanwhile, DL returns the two million to one of Linderman's people but he is told that Mr Linderman is not done with him yet.
Key moments is Ali Larter's wonderful performance when she is talking to the lawyer and you do get the feeling that she does have a split personality (as well as her line at the end of the episode). Furthermore, Hiro's lines with Nathan are awesome, the explanation of the helix symbol and the introduction of both the myth of Takezo Kensei as well as Christopher Eccleston (as the invisible man), both of which will play an important role in the Heroes universe. Enjoy!
  • Getting to know..

    8.0
This one was quite good. I loved the char interaction and how they all are coming together finally.

Claire rediscovering her friend.. and trying to get him to remember or at least to the point where they were before. And that minderiser around.

But most of the excitement went to Hiro part. trying to get that sword.. that was good but it was only replica and then getting to Isaac's house and finally everyone realizing that he does can paint future and now they are off the Linderman's.

The only storyline that I have never liked is Niki.. From the first episodes.. it has just seemed to be little off the other storylines.. and now.. I do not know.. I just don't like it at all.
  • A sum of characters

    9.5
  • Superb episode.

    9.9
This episode was really cool, escpecially Niki/Jessica's part. The last line was so solid. When Niki's in the straight jacket and shes tearing up and she pleads "God... please help me." And then Jessica suddenly appears "Who needs God when you have me?" Creepy and awesome. Hiro manages to slow time again to get the sword from the museum, but it turns out it's a replica and Linderman has the real one. Then, Simone and Nathan meet up with Issac and Hiro, a hero gathering. Matt tells his wife about his powers, but as of now she doesn't completely belive him. Peter meets another hero, who turns out he can be inivisble. A near perfect episode.
  • good

    8.9
As Peter remains comatose, Nathan searches for clues about his brother's dreams. His powers depleted, Hiro begins a quest for a means to strengthen them. Mr. Bennet struggles to unravel the mystery of Sylar. When Matt's investigation hits a dead-end, he attempts to reconcile with Janice. D.L. attempts to settle his family's debt to Mr. Linderman. Claire goes to great lengths to win back her best friend. After finally accepting Isaac's abilities, Simone embraces the quest to stop the explosion. Mohinder learns of Eden's death, and has an unexpected visitor. An imprisoned Niki begins her struggle against Jessica. Peter awakens and meets a strange man from his dream.
A good episode with some humor in it.

  • AMAZING!!

    8.9
it is very haeartgripping!! it reveals alot of things and alot of hudden secrets and alot of twists that all the characters in the show were wondering about.. whether it was a sword or not.
it is also very exciting and very unusual and even mohinder decides to go back and continue his father's work .. while sylar is trapped and all these questions sorrounding him and circulating him waiting to be answered so that alot of the coming events can be revealed as well!! it also leaves an open door about whats left to come from events, powers to be discovered and questions to be answered!!
  • Brilliant Ep!

    9.5

Isaac's puzzling "Hiro vs. T-Rex" painting inspires Hiro and Ando to search for the pictured samurai sword. Jessica struggles against Niki's decision to turn herself into police. With his associate Eden dead and Matt on his heels, H.R.G. tries to focus on his orders regarding Sylar. • A great episode that keeps the wheel turning, but speeds it up in the process.

A great episode that keeps the wheel turning, but speeds it up in the process. This episode felt a little different then the episodes before it. I am not sure what it was, but it didn't bother me, it was more of a good change. The show picks up where it left off, but adds some things that happened in-between that we didn't see last episode. At first I found the episode a bit confusing, it seemed to pick up at a point forward of where we left off last episode. The episode had a nice twist of plot's in it, and again we see a very common theme of a powerful connection between all of the people and things happening in this show. It's almost like watching a puzzle, all the pieces fit into the puzzle they come from, but you have you find out how they fit to get the full picture. I was a bit disappointed to see that some of the characters where in pretty bad situations, but as is life, these things happen, and it's not always smooth sailing. The show still remains realistic, and that's one of the things this episode develops on. I still am waiting to find out more information on the whole "save the cheerleader, save the world" business it doesn't really seem to make sense at the time, but like a puzzle sometimes you need a few more pieces to see some of the picture.

  • This was a welcome return to form after the sluggish pace of the last couple of episodes. Lots of narrative advancement, and the introduction of an interesting new Hero.

    8.6
Peter Petrelli has become central to the plot of this series, and that's alright by me. The character is complex, conflicted and intriguing, and the prospect of him being the agent by which New York is destroyed is chilling. He discovers a new Hero who it seems will figure prominently in the story. Claire teaming up with the Haitian was an unforeseen plot development that could have some interesting repercusssions. Hiro's quest heats up as he searches for the sword that will restore his powers. Sylar is on ice for now, but we know that won't last. Even Ali Larter as Niki displayed quite an improvement over her usually wooden acting in this episode. A very satisfying installment.
  • Great episode!

    10
Peter finds a man who is invisible. Hiro and Ando steal the sword in the museum, but it turns out to be a fake. The real one is with Linderman. Simone offers to take them to Linderman. D.L. and Micah talk to Niki, but when Jessica comes out, she is put in a psycho ward. Claire attempts to show Zach what she can do so they can be friends again. Matt invades Primatech Paper to find Sylar, but Mr. Bennet has him hidden. Matt tells his wife what he can do. Mr. Bennet sees Mohinder and asks him to team up with him.

This was a great episode! It was really sad to see Niki. She wanted to hug Micah, but they wouldn't let her. The invisible man is very interesting. This episode gets a 10!
  • Foreshadowing galore!

    9.3
If it wasn't obvious at the end of the previous episode, it should be now that Peter is going to run into the radioactive hero whose name escapes me at the moment. From the previous episodes, I think that Peter can see the blips of the future as he wants to, as his mind dictates. Him exploding may or may not happen--I'm betting on the latter. Only time will tell, but it was a well-crafted episode nonetheless.

The outpouring of heroes across the country is starting to get on my nerves, however. I'm beginning to get the idea that every human being has the genetic code for such a mutation to occur, but some of them remained dormant and hence Chandra didn't pick up on them. It would give the series a rather ununique ending if that were the case.
  • power.

    9.6
peter is still in a coma, and finds out he is the one causing the explosion in the future. while in the coma he receives dream like visions. claire finds it hard to pretend she doesnt remember about her power and her father. Matt tells his wife about his power, and she has a really funny reaction. they end up playing games and such until she believes him. Hiro steals the sword in the painting, but it turns out to be fake, and the real one purchased by the infamous linderman.Niki is still in prison, but jessica is ruining her chances, by taking over and hurting people. It was sad when she wanted to hug Micah, but she couldnt. This episode was really good, and helped move along the plot, especially considering what peter finds out.
  • Hiro searches for the sword.

    9.0
My third favorite episode of heroes. Sylar has been captured, and Hiro is having trouble controlling his power. Peter is actually revealed to be the one who blows up New York. It was revealed in one of peters visions. Since peter saved Claire's life, Claire has now given her respect to peter. I love the part where at the beginning, peter is talking to nathon, then sylar appears from out of nowhere. The ending is great, with peter having that crazy dream about the bomb. Then every hero came together and ran from new york. that was insane. this is a cool episode.
  • “Hiro vs. T-Rex”

The writing seemed to pick up again in this episode, with the second and final story arch of the season coming full circle. Niki and Jessica in the prison is the only seemingly pointless and boring storyline right now, with everyone else being heavily involved in trying to save the world. How Horn-Rimmed Glasses gets to New York to see Mohinder when he lives in Texas is beyond me, but maybe he simply flies back and forth saying its business. Peters dream got a little longer in this one as he met the invisable man who is using his powers for evil instead of for good like everyone else. Zach and Claire trying to rekindle a lost relationship is something I enjoyed, as I was hoping that they would end up together before the end of season 1. I really enojyed this episode, hope only better ones are to come.
  • A darker episode...

    9.5
I wasn't sure how to classify this as the entire tone coming off of previous episodes, took a turn for the darker and grittier, although a balance is struck with outcomes revealed by other characters.

On the one side, you have Peter coming out of a coma generated by being exposed to too many powers at once and encountering a new empowered character, and you have Niki/Jessica locked up in the funny farm and immobilized in a straight jacket and tranquilizers in order to tame the wild Jessica figure.

On the distaff side, Matt is able to convince Janice of his ability and seems to catch a break and Hiro has reawakened from his funk and renewed his quest to be able to invoke and control his power by the possession of a rare sword. Eventually plots get reconciled as Claire manages to reconnect with Zach and D.L. attempts to wipe his slate clean with Linderman.

Throughout this episode, which also provides a religious overlay to match its title, symbollism is invoked to tie characters together via a religious theme of gifts from God, and it helps to add an extra layer of information to ponder, regarding the true origins of these powers.

Overall, an emotional episode that takes a breather while these characters try to recoup from previous events.
  • Really good episode.

    9.6
Thsi episode was very good. It takes place two weeks after the last episode finished. Peter is still in hospital and getting visions of the future. Meanwhile Claire tries to fool her father that her memory has been removed. Matt organises a raid on Claires fathers factor but does not find anything, he also goes home and tells his wife about his powers. Hiro steals a sward that will give him powers and Nikki remains in prison but may face the death. Overall totally enjoyed this episode. I really want to know what is going to happen on this show. Every episode is so enjoyable can't wait for the next one.
  • 2 Weeks later ????? And nothing has really happened...

    9.0
    It was ok.

But not as good as the last episode !

    Things that happened - -

    1. Peter has the same dream again and again.

    2. Matt reveals his abilities to his wife

    3. Mr Bennet talks 2 Mohinder.

    4. Sylar is still in prison.

    5. Claire tries to make sense of her life. She becomes friends with zack again.

    6. Niki must face the consequences of her decision to turn herself in to the police

    7. Simone and Nathan are worried about Peter, who has been in a coma for two weeks.

    8. Peter meets a new hero ??????

    9. Hiro finds the sword that will restore his powers (or does he?)

It was an ok episode. I hope next weeks is better.

  • An invisible man?

    8.4
Heroes never seems to run out of plot ideas even though it basically follows the same storyline and this episode is a great example of this as we see how much has changed in two weeks, with Niki becoming Jessica even in prison, and the changes becoming a lot quicker between the two.

Peter being the cause of the explosion being developed is quite interesting, as is the group that know each other becoming larger as they work to stop Peter exploding and Claire faking amnesia and retelling Zack as we also see a repeat of how the tape first came to existence.

Overall, this is a great episode with not only good plot development but with humour aswell such as the fake sword and the beaten up guard.
  • Symbol explained. Most of the characters met and started to follow their destinies.

    9.5
Godsend explained the meaning of a symbol that bothered me since I first saw it in one of the earlier episodes of this series. Now, it really made sense why some of the characters have an attachment with that symbol. Some of the characters finally met and gathered under one roof. It was nice seeing them start to unite and believe in each other's ability. This episode is the leverage of the series. It gave the viewers a preview on what our heroes can do together. This episode is one of the most interesting and exciting that I've ever seen. Of course, not to mention that each episode I watch makes me crave for more action and revelations in the series.
  • After a long wait i feel like we should have gotten more

    7.6
It certainly was a long wait before Heroes would be on again. In fact i had been waiting since the minute i heard that the next new episode of heroes would be on 1*23*07. i thought that they'd bring it back with a bang but instead it crashed and burned.

Nothing really happend. Hiro found his sword or at least what he thought was his sword. HRG visits Mohinder. Matt shows his wife some of the things he can do. Claire tries to figure out what to do with her ability. And Niki finds herself in the mental ward at the pl=olice station. Over all the episode was okay but definently not my favorite.
  • Claire feels like she's alone so she tries to make Zack her friend again...

    9.0
I feel terribly bad for Claire. She's been through so much when she's still so young and due to what her father did or tried to do, she's all alone. I liked that she's trying to be friends with Zack again by doing it all the exact same way again. But I keep wondering why that guy is helping her and wants her not to forget.
It was revealed that Mr Bennet's motives might not be all that good. There's much more to that story and I can't wait to find out.
It's great that they are finding one another slowly. Hiro, Isaac and Nathan. Claire and Peter. The heroes get together!
  • First phase towards Heroes reunion!!!

    10
This episode was excellent...I liked it first because here we have the opportunity to see a first reunion of a part of the Heroes who are of importance and who talk about the blast that is going to destroy the city...While Peter has been in a coma for 2 weeks, Nathan goes to visit Issac's studio and see his painting with Simone...Here they encounter a very relaxed Issac Mendez, who confesses to have renounced using drugs and confesses to be able to paint without them...They also meet Hiro and Ando...Hiro tried to take the sword of Takezo Kensai and although successful, he managed to take only a replica, the original being part of the collection of Linderman...Niki has a lot of problems in jail due to Jessica and is frightened when her lawyer tells her that she may be given the death penalty...D.L. returns the money to Linderman and although the accusations against him are dropped,he is afraid of Linderman's revenge... Claire tries to become close again with Zach so she repeats her experiments...Matt confesses to his wife that he can her other people's thoughts...Mohinder returns and contacts the police to give them a list with all the special people...He also rejects Mr. Bennet's offer to cooperate with him...Peter wakes up from his coma and meets another hero, one who is invisible.
  • Lots of character development, an interesting episode

    8.4
In this episode, we find out more about or favourite heroes and there is plenty of character development! Matt comes clean with his wife which i think will bring them closer together, as they have been having lots of problems lately. The Hatian continues to develop as a character who may be very useful to the cause, even though he's working for Mr. Bennet at the moment, he appears to be trying to being it down from the inside.

Mr. Bennet shows he might not be interested in hurting these people as first though by most, he doesnt seem to be killing anyone, in fact he has contained Sylar and stopped him killing them. Perhaps we were wrong about him? He does appear to be taking orders from someone higher up though, possibly Linderman? I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Sylar's powers, interestingly, appear to be able to be contained by Mr. Bennet's special holding tank thing. Even though he manages to use them periodically, i'm really not sure whats going on there..
  • An amazing episode.

    10
Godsend takes place two weeks after Fallout. A lot of interesting things happen in this episode. Matt tells his wife that he can hear people's thoughts. H.R.G. visits Mohinder, saying that they can "make a difference." Claire tries to make some sense of her life. Hiro searches for the sword to master his power and finds out Linderman has the sword. Niki must face the consequences of turning herself in to the police. Nathan and Simone are worried about Peter, who has been in a coma for two weeks. Nathan asks Simone to take him to Isaac, and meets Hiro and Ando. Peter meets Claude, the invisible man. I really liked Claude, his character is interesting and he has a great power. His thievery was quite funny, stealing from people right in front of them.

    A great episode.
  • I was a little interested to watch this episode and how it progresses.

    9.0
There is only on flaw, as I see it, to having so many damn characters and so many damn story lines, and that is the hour is used up so quickly and barely moves the stories along, I am starting to see how people can make 24 episodes of a single day. I mean, how many times was one of the heroes on, two minutes, before either going to another hero or commercial. Sometimes I long for the days when an episode actually advanced the story, instead of trying to keep us guessing for an hour a week with no answer in sight.
  • What a great return, it was a series classic. A new problem, a new solution and a new hero. Wonderful.

    9.0
What a great return, everyone is growing and evolving in their own way. And they sliced the time perfectly to give everyone enough screen time to show how they have come into their own and matured. Nathan is finally giving in to his destiny which is geat I'm sure once he becomes a true hero his powers would be amazing. Peter is in the deep dark world of his own now where he has a great amount of responsibility. Hiro is just going along with his journey, it's all just fantastic, the writers are finally putting the pieces to the puzzle, it's true that this show doesn't have a very long shelf-life yet whatever's being shown now is great TV and everyoné having a great time watching it, hope it keeps getting better!
