Goof: When Micah is talking to Hiro about his comic book: "How did you get this issue? It's not even out yet." Hiro responds quickly as if he understands perfect english. Where as all other times, Hiro is looking to Ando for guidance & translation of even the easiest sayings.
Goof: When talking to the reporter at brunch Heidi Petrelli wheels herself in between her two sons to help them with their food. When the camera cuts to Peter's entrance seconds later both boys are gone.
Explanation: Actually, this is explained in the deleted scenes on the DVD, Heidi sent them to play inside before Peter came in.
When Niki was knocked out cold by D.L. in the previous episode, she lay on the floor with her face towards the right. When she wakes up in this episode, her face is towards the left.
After Claire told Lyle that if their parents find out, they would regret adopting her, Lyle opens the car window without starting the car or even having the key in the ignition. The automatic windows in most cars will not open or close under these circumstances.
Agent Audrey Hansen gets Matt Parkman at work to show him the charred remains of Robert Fresco (sic), she then alludes to their finding a single fingerprint which she says they ran through CODIS. CODIS is the combined DNA index system, a DNA database. What she should have said was they ran the prints through AFIS, the Automated Fingerprint Identification System.
When investigating Ted's house, Audrey states that the area is giving off radiation using the measurement curies (named after Marie Curie). The unit curie is used to measure the amount of radiation being emitted by an object, hopefully in containment. In a situation to measure the biological risk of exposure to radiation, as in Ted's house, the appropriate unit is the rem or SI unit sievert. Rads/Grays are used to measure radiation absorbed by the human body after exposure.
Lyle: Are you aliens? Is he an alien too?!
Zach: That's right, we're aliens! We've come to anal probe you!
(to Matt in his police uniform)
Audrey: Put on some real person clothes.
Peter: This painting is the key. With this thing we can make a difference.
Nathan: I'm trying to make a difference Peter. The best way I know how. Flying around, how is that gonna help anybody? What is it gonna...I can't...what am I gonna... What am I gonna do when I get there? I don't have a gun, I don't have a badge, I don't know karate. I guess I could put on a costume and fly around and pull cats out of trees. How is that gonna make a difference?
Peter: You're not gonna know until you try.
Peter: You need to tell Heidi the truth.
Nathan: She doesn't need the truth. She needs hope.
Audrey: Who keeps calling you?
Matt: Uh, nobody. It's my wife.
Audrey: Since when is your wife nobody?
Peter: Of course I'm gonna vote for Nathan. If Nathan takes care of the people half as much as he takes care of his brother, it's gonna be an interesting city.
Dennison: Pretty special family.
Peter: You have no idea.
Hiro: (trying to move D.L. and crash victim) Why couldn't I have super-strength, too?
D.L.: So you're just gonna sit there all day and not say a word, huh?
Micah: I want to go home.
D.L.: Micah, I told you, it's not safe there with your mother.
Micah: Is she dead?
D.L.: No. She's gonna be fine.
Micah: How do you know? Dad, we left her on the floor.
D.L.: We didn't have a choice.
Micah: Heroes don't run away.
D.L.: Micah...
Micah: Bad guys do. Heroes help people, Dad. You know what? You're a bad guy.
D.L.: I'm not a bad guy, all right?
Peter: (to Nathan) Hey, you know what? I'm just gonna fly off the terrace yeah? No? Hey, I can fly. Nathan so can you. Tell you what. Why don't you just race around the Statue of Liberty real quick. Huh? Give this tweedy cat something to write about.
Ted Sprague: Don't you have any idea as to what would happen, Cause I don't. Maybe I'll explode. Maybe I'll take out this hospital. Maybe I'll wipe out the city like an atomic bomb!
Mohinder: (narrating) You do not choose your destiny. It chooses you. And those that knew you before Fate took you by the hand cannot understand the depth of the changes inside. They cannot fathom how much you stand to lose in failure. That you are the instrument of a flawless design. And all of life may hang in the balance. The hero learns quickly who can comprehend and who merely stands in the way.
Zach: (to Lyle) We're gonna anal probe you.
Lyle: I'm gonna put this thing on YouTube, make like a million bucks!
Zach: YouTube's free you idiot!
