Goof: It is stated that a decapitation is a permanent death for someone with a healing ability, although this contradicts Adam Monroe's statement in the episode 'Four Months Ago...' that the company were only imprisoning him because they were unable to kill him ("...if it were possible to kill me, they would have, I assure you").
Goof: After Peter subdues Victoria Pratt, Adam says, "Let's get her up to the house." However, his lips continue moving after he finishes speaking.
Goof: When Micah goes to get his dad's medal from his bag, Niki is heard saying, "We cannot waste another nanosecond." However, her lips aren't moving.
Goof: Inside Victoria Pratt's house is quite clearly an aluminium Apple iMac with compact aluminium keyboard, both of which were released in August 2007. However, since this episode is set in March 2007, she shouldn't have them.
Monica watches a Parkour video to learn the moves that helped her jump and climb walls to get into the house to recover Micah's bag.
Young Kaito: You have betrayed everything we stand for. Adam: No, Kaito. I tried to save the world. Young Kaito: By releasing a virus that could kill billions of innocent people? Adam: When you've been around as long as I have, the patterns are clear. Constant war, disregard for the environment, and famine. And it's only getting worse. Someone had to make the hard choice for the greater good. Young Kaito: (to guards holding Adam) Take him down to lock-up. And throw away the key.
Micah: We need to be heroes like dad. Niki: Being a hero is what got your father killed.
Claire: This is so unfair! Elle: Welcome to life!
(After punching Damon for losing his backpack) Micah: My dad's medal was in that bag! Damon: I'm sorry! I'll get you a new one. Micah: You gonna get me a new dad, too? Damon: I'm sorry. Micah: I don't care. I hate you!
Mohinder: Take it easy. Bennet: The last thing I remember, you were… Did you shoot me?
Alejandro: (in Spanish about Sylar) What are you doing, Maya!? Get away from him. He's a murderer! Maya: I am a murderer! Gabriel understands exactly what I am going through - exactly how I feel.
(When Micah shuts off the street lights) Monica: How did you do that? Micah: I told the lights I need them to be off for a little while. Monica: You told them? Micah: Yeah.
Mohinder: Hello? Sylar: Hello, Mohinder. Mohinder: Sylar? Where are you? Sylar: I convinced the babysitter to take the night off. Don't worry, I'm taking good care of the little one. Mohinder: If you touch Molly.... Sylar: Shhhh. (whispering) We don't wanna wake her. I brought someone to see you. She needs your help. We both do. See you soon, Mohinder.
(When Monica puts on the hood of her outfit) Micah: You're Saint Joan! Monica: You really have to stop reading those comic books. Stay here, I'll be right back.
(After Hiro teleports away from him the second time) Ando: (speaking in Japanese) Why is saving the world always your responsibility?
Micah: I missed you every day. Niki: Oh, I missed you every minute, every second. What's that even smaller one? Micah: A nanosecond. Niki: I missed you that one too.
Monica: (talking to Micah)I know what it's like to lose someone you love. To wish that you had a piece of them. Something solid to hold onto. Anybody tried to steal my mom's piano, I'd feed 'em their teeth.
Bob: I want you to keep an eye on Claire. Elle: It'd be easier without this thing on my arm. It itches like a mother! Bob: And I thought my little girl was tough. Elle: I am, dad, but I was shot. And my body doesn't heal itself.
Adam: Those are the company founders, Peter. Peter: They're responsible for this. Adam: Parents sin, children suffer.
(At the beach, holding her father's ashes) Claire: I'm sorry, Dad. I'm sorry I didn't listen. I should have done everything you told me to. If I hadn't been so selfish, you'd still be here. (She spreads the ashes) Claire: I love you, Dad.
Peter: You didn't have to kill her. Adam: She was about to take your head off. There's no coming back from that one.
Claire: I've fallen 20 stories. Been stabbed in the head. Crashed a car at 70 miles an hour. I've even been on fire. But this hurts... more than any of that. And it's not getting any better. I've always gotten better no matter what, but this just keeps getting worse.
Claire: We can tell the world what they did. How they kidnapped me and murdered my father. Elle: You have no proof. No one would believe you. Claire: You're probably right. I guess I'm just gonna have to show them. (punches the driver's side window of Elle's car breaking it. Shows the cuts on her hand to Elle as it heals) I'll show everyone exactly what I can do. Once the secret's out, you won't be able to touch me or my family. You'll be the ones running.
New Heroes: There were no new heroes introduced in this episode.
The Symbol: Adam draws the symbol on Victoria's picture after shooting her

Power Developments: Maya Herrera: Maya learns how to control her power without her brother's assistance, reversing its effects on her victims. Adam Monroe/Claire Bennet/Peter Petrelli: We learn that a decapitation is permanent death for someone with a healing ability. Claire Bennet: Her healing ability appears to have advanced in this episode. When she puts her fist through the car window, as she heals the shards of glass are pushed out. In previous episodes, foreign bodies needed to be removed before she could heal from any injuries. Correction: Only the damage to her head had need for removal of the foreign object... She pushed a bullet out of her chest after Matt shot her...
Mutant X: The character Victoria Pratt has the same name as the actress who starred as Shalimar Fox in the syndicated sci-fi series Mutant X (2001-04), which like Heroes, features characters who possess extraordinary abilities.
Monica: That's why Clark Kent wears those glasses. Clark Kent, is a fictional character created by Joe Shuster and Jerry Siegel. He serves as the civilian and secret identity of the superhero Superman.
