When Sylar is outside of Mohinder's car after their second trip to Dale, a crew member can be seen in the reflection of the car.
The shooting scene in Primm happens at night and when the police arrives to arrest Hope and the bad cop it's still night. In a later scene it's daytime and we see a policeman arresting the bad cop.
When Mohinder and Sylar arrive in Montana the subtitle reads: "Bozeman, Montana". There are snow capped mountains in an Alpine setting. Bozeman area, sitting in the South West side of Montana, is nothing like that, there are no mountains of that height or even close to that.
When Hiro is getting on the bus, the driver asks him if he is travelling alone. This bus driver is Stan Lee, creater or co-creater of many of the flag ship characters of Marvel Comics, such as Spiderman, the Fantastic Four, X-Men, the Hulk and Iron Man.
The scene in which Isaac returns from his trance to normal state is used in episode "Parasite".
Charles Darwin, while keeping his developing ideas about evolution a secret, took every opportunity to question expert naturalists and, unconventionally, people with practical experience such as farmers and pigeon fanciers, but didn't breed pigeons himself.
Goof: When Hiro is driving to find Ando with S.R. Gustafson, he has the poster tube with him on his lap. When we see a shot of Ando with "Hope", the poster tube is in the boot of his car. This is further emphasized by Hiro getting the poster tube out of the back of the car when he leaves.
When Mohinder and Sylar were at the garage, Sylar had that hanging hook pushed by his back, but after that it somehow moved in front of him.
Goof: While Isaac is trying to shoot Peter, the painting of Hiro vs. the tyrannosaurus is on one of the stands. That painting was given to Hiro to take it to Vegas and was torn by his father, so it couldn't be in Isaac's studio now.
When Mr. Bennet and The Haitian were trying to kidnap Peter Petrelli and Claude, Bennet's cellular phone was not set to silent (it rang after the failed kidnap attempt), but it should have or else their plan would be foiled for being noisy.
Goof: In this episode, it shows the characters in Bozeman, Montana. On the license plates, it has 90 for the county number. The state of Montana only has 56 counties in it.
Nathan: If people knew what we were capable of, they would drop a collective brick. Simone: You think they'll burn you at the stake? Nathan: Yeah. Pretty much. Because that's what I would do. I'd round us all up, stick us in a lab on some island in the middle of the ocean.
Bennet: (to Claire about Sandra) The doctor told me you had an interesting theory about your mother's condition. Claire: (fuming) It's not a theory. You did this to her. (wheels around) You erased her mind. Bennet: Claire, that's ridiculous. Claire: You tried to erase mine! Bennet: I don't know where you're getting these ideas. (at this point, Claire has lost it) Claire: STOP! STOP IT! STOP LYING! AFTER WHAT YOU DID TO MOM, ISN'T THAT ENOUGH?! (several doctors turn to stare; Bennet holds Claire against a wall) Bennet: What you know is dangerous. If the wrong people find out about what you can do--- Claire: (about Sylar) Like the man who killed Jackie? Bennet: Exactly. Claire: (crying) Why? Why did you do this to Mom? Bennet: (about Sylar) A few days ago, that man broke into our house, looking for you. He found your mother instead, so I made her forget. (Claire, sobbing, glowers at Bennet) Your mother is a gentle soul, and people like her shouldn't have to know about people like him. Claire: And maybe people like you! Bennet: I never meant for her to get sick. I only wanted to protect my family. Claire-Bear, I promise...I promise this will never happen again. (Bennet tries to calm Claire down, but with a shout of "ENOUGH!" she pushes him away) Claire: (sobbing uncontrollably) You don't just get to say you're sorry and make everything go away!
Ted: (about Hana) She's a friend, like us. She's the one who put me on to the scratches. Hana: It comes from a pneumatic needle. It injects a radioisotope for tracking viruses in Africa. Ted: (to Matt) That's what we are to them. A virus. A plague. Matt: (to Ted) Who's "them?" Hana: A shipment of needles went to Primatech Paper in Odessa, Texas. The tracking slip went to a man named Bennet. Sound familiar? Matt: (to Hana) I've already been down this road. Trust me, it's a dead end. Hana: Really? Matt: Yeah. Hana: Why would a paper company need pneumatic needles with a radioisotope?
Peter: (To Issac) Don't lie to me!
Ted: I had my blood tested. It's in me, that isotope. Matt: Ted, you're radioactive by nature.
Matt: (To Ted) I only came here because you said this was a matter of life and death. You can't go blowing anything more up.
Simone: (To Nathan) Where Peter saw hope, you saw disaster. Well I guess I'm voting for the other guy.
Claude: Let's call a spade a shovel, mate. It had to be Issac. They've got to him.
Peter: (To Claude) You used to care about all this, didn't you?
Mrs. Bennet: Claire do we need to talk? Claire: No...Yes
Sylar: What happened to this...Sylar? Mohinder:I'm not sure... Sylar: He just got away with killing your dad? Mohinder: He's gone, locked away
Issac: I would do anything for you Simone, anything. Simone: Find Peter.
Mohinder: Sorry, it must be quite a burden. Dale: A burden? Hell no, it was the best damn thing that ever happened to me. Well now that I've learned to control it I'm like Superman or something.
Mohinder: I left several messages for you this week. Dale: Yeah I got 'em. Mohinder: I can help with what's happening to you. I'm sure you've got lot's of questions. Dale: Yeah, only one - how did you find me?
Dale: Sorry...rap music. It's the only thing I've found that cancels out the...Can I help you?
Sylar: (While pretending to be Zane) I believe in fate and karma and i'm not just saying that because you're Indian. You really came to my rescue.
Hiro: Ando? Is that you? I'm locked in! (door is opened by S.R.Gustavson) You're not Ando. S.R.Gustavson: S.R.Gustavson. State gaming coach. Hiro: I come in peace. (Hiro makes peace sign with his fingers) S.R.Gustavson: (grabbing Hiro by the collar) What's an Ando? Hiro: Ando is my friend. I bring him from Japan on my mission.
Peter: Enough! Claude: I say when it's enough. You got the power to stop me. What are you waiting for? Peter: I'm trying! Claude: And when you've left New York a smoking wasteland, we'll put that on your tombstone. "Here lies Peter Petrelli. He tried." Dig into that file cabinet of yours and pull something out. Fly, stop time, paint me a pretty picture. Do something...unexpected. (Peter freezes Claude's staff in the air and breaks it in two) (Claude laughs) You pushed that away with your mind. Which one of your sorry friends has telekinesis? Peter: None of them do. Oh, wait. That guy who was chasing Claire in Texas. He sent some lockers flying at me. Claude: Texas? And you pulled that little trick out in the here and now? Well, we might just have a chance of stopping you from going nuclear.
(Hiro humming is irritating Gustafson) Gustafson: Look, you're nothing but a Japanese map quest for me so 'till we find that girl just sit there and shut up. Hiro: I bring Ando from Japan on my mission. I am responsible for him. Gustafson: All a partner ever does is drag you under or screw you over. Hiro: A partner helps by believing in you. He keeps you honest! Gustafsn: Uh-huh. Well who wanted to help the girl? Grab the suitcase? Take your car? Hiro: (Quietly) Ando... Gustafson: You take on a partner. All you get is their blood on your hands.
Mr. Bennet: Claire. We'll get through this. Your mom needs us. Lyle too. Claire: I don't even know if I'll remember any of this tomorrow.
Peter: I can't do this on my own. Claude: Then I guess you go boom.
Ando: But you kissed me. I thought you liked me. Hope: Don't remind me.
Claire: There's something wrong with Mom. Lyle: There's something wrong with you! Claire: Mom, do you know who this is? (pointing towards Lyle) Mrs. Bennet: Claire, leave your brother alone. Claire: You recognise us? Mrs. Bennet: Yes, you are the daughter who is supposed to be setting the dinner table.
Mr. Bennet: So Peter's invisible? Isaac: That sounds so crazy. Mr. Bennet: Any more than a man who can paint the future?
Hope: The less questions you ask, Ando, the better off you'll be in life. Ando: Why is that? Hope: That would be another question.
Janice: You know, Matt, for a guy that can read other people's thoughts, you should spend a little time on your own.
Ando: Did your powers work? I had my eyes closed. Hiro: Me too.
Doctor: Your mother has a subdural hemorrhage. Claire: I got a C minus in biology.
Lyle: (to Claire) Good thing Dad wasn't home, he would drug test you.
Peter: (Looking at painting of Simone and Isaac together) This is why you sent them after me, jealousy? With me out of the way you'd have Simone all to yourself. Isaac: You stole her away from me! But I did it to save New York, to stop the bomb. (He aims his gun at Peter) Issac: With just one bullet I can be a hero. Peter: You're not a hero Issac. You're a junkie who couldn't even save yourself. It had nothing to do with me. Issac: Show yourself!
Nathan: The last time I saw my brother, he flew out of a window to get away from me. I doubt he's going to come knocking on my door.
Greyhound bus driver: Hey young fellow, all by yourself? Hiro: Yes, just me.
Peter: What are these marks, huh?! What do they mean?! Isaac: They're nothing. They mean nothing. Peter: Don't lie to me!!!
Matt: I'm sure you have a lot of questions. We all do.
Claude: Charles Darwin bred pigeons while he was working out his theory of evolution. Married up various permutations to get maximum potential. Peter: What'd he mean by that? Maximum potential. Claude: I think he meant you, friend.
Peter: What did they give you? Money... drugs? What does a Judas cost these days?
Dale: Damn, that was my best wrench.
Hana: I can find them, Ted... and you can nuke them.
Claire: (seething with anger, to HRG) All I want to do is run away, but I can't. Somebody's got to protect this family from you.
Dale: Funny, I didn't hear your footsteps. Sylar: That's because there weren't any. Dale: That sound, in your heart. What is it? (Sylar smiles) Sylar: Murder.
Claire: No thanks to you. Lyle: Shut up, Claire.
Hiro: Life isn't a comic book.
HRG: Claire-bear, I promise, I promise this will never happen again. Claire: (pushing HRG away) No! You don't just get to say you're "sorry" and make everything go away!
Claude: (as Peter throws him over his shoulder) What are you doing? Peter: Something unexpected. [Peter jumps off the Deveaux building's roof and flies away]
Hiro: You take me with you or she gets away... pal.
(Mr. Bennet hands Isaac a gun) Isaac: What do you expect me to do with this? Mr. Bennet: Save the world.
Claude: (to Peter) You wanted to know why I was invisible all these years? It was because of them, and you brought the bastards right to my door!

The motel door number Mohinder and Sylar stop at is 23. That same week, the movie Number 23 opened in theaters, starring Jim Carrey, about a man who sees a pattern of the number 23 in his life as a bad luck symbol, although the two incidences are probably coincidence.
Continuing the string of Star Trek references in Heroes, Dale Smither (the woman with enhanced hearing) is found in Bozeman, Montana. In Star Trek, Bozeman was the place where Zefram Cochrane launched the first warp-capable ship.
Peter: They give you money? Drugs? What's a Judas get these days? Judas is a character in the Bible, one of Jesus' 12 disciples. He betrayed Jesus and turned him over to the religious authorities for thirty pieces of silver. This led to the crucifixion of Jesus. After Jesus' crucifixion, Judas was overwhelmed with guilt. He tried to returned the money to the priests and committed suicide by hanging himself.
When Peter asks Claude about his pigeons, Claude mentions Charles Darwin, an English naturalist from the 19th century who achieved lasting fame by convincing the scientific community that species develop over time from a common origin. His theories explaining this phenomenon through natural and sexual selection are central to the modern understanding of evolution as the unifying theory of the life sciences.
At the beginning of the episode, we see Ted's screen name is TeddyBear616. This is a possible reference to the fact that the Marvel Comics original universe is usually referred to as "Marvel-616." 616 is the the universe in which mutants first originated. It could also be a reference to the "Number of the Beast" from the Book of Revelations. A recent discovery proved that the number is really 616 and not 666, as has been believed for centuries.
Hiro does the Vulcan salute from Star Trek at the beginning of the episode.
The woman with the enhanced hearing compares herself to Superman. Superman of course is one of DC comics most famous characters and has many super powers, including super hearing that allows him to hear objects that are miles away.
