While Helga tries to find the perfect gift for Arnold, Arnold tries to find Mr. Hyunh's long-lost daughter. I thought that this was a very special and sad Christmas episode of "Hey Arnold". This is truly a Christmas classic that everybody needs to watch. It is sad and it will make you cry a little/a lot but it is very special. They didn't have a lot of humor in this episode since it was more of a very special and touching episode. I only laughed once was that was everyone store owner was laughing at Arnold and Gerald because they asked for those snow boots that are sold out. Mr. Hyunh telling Arnold the story of how he had to give his daughter to the soldiers so she can have a better life while he is stuck in the country because he hasn't seen her ever since. Arnold wanting to find Mr. Hyunh's long-lost daughter was very nice. Helga also trying to find Mr. Hyunh's long-lost daughter so she can make it Arnold's Christmas present and make him happy was very nice and I liked how Helga was talking to that government guy Mr. Bailey to PLEASE find the long-lost daughter when he was going home. Mr. Hyunh and his long-lost daughter being together again after so long was very sweet and sad. The episode also ending with Helga saying "Merry Christmas Arnold" was very nice as well. Overall, a sad and very special "Hey Arnold" Christmas classic.10/10

While Helga tries to find the perfect gift for Arnold, Arnold tries to find Mr. Hyunh's long-lost daughter. I thought this was this a Christmas episode of Hey Arnold. The plot was really good and interesting. Helga talking about Christmas was funny. It was funny when Helga got covered in mud after talking about Arnold. Oscar writing his name on the letter slips was very funny. The story that Mr. Hyunh told was interesting and a little sad. Arnold and Gerald shopping was good. . It was hilarious when people kept laughing for something. The middle was often sad and it didn't had very much humor. Mr. Hyunh finding her daughter was great. Helga's last line was funny. Overall a sad Christmas episode. 10/10

Another Christmas review, and it's one episode of Hey Arnold, that is just perfect, and really sad. The episode is about Arnold, who plays secret santa, and gets to get a gift of Mr Huhn. However, this is when the episode starts to become tearjerking. It turns out,in his original home,he once had a daughter who he loved, but a war came to his home, and for her own good,he had to give her to the army. It was sad to see that happen. Arnold decides to get his daughter back, but to do that,he has to do last minute christmas shopping for a man. (Forgot his name) He has to get a brand of snow boots, but nobody has a pair of them, and what's sad is the fact that he cannot get the daughter. Helga however, recieves the boots, but she finds Arnold's list for that man. And she wants to have the guy spend the night to track down Mr. Huhn's daughter. And to end with a very happy ending, they soon find the daughter, and at to make it even sadder,Helga's last line was just so touching. Overall, another great Christmas special really well done.

Arnold tries to find Mr. Hyunh's long lost daughter for Christmas, because he is his Secret Santa. There is one person who can help but he has Arnold and Gerald go shopping for his daughter, and when they can not get everything, he decides he can't help them find the daughter. In the end she is discovered because Helga helped find the last item the man's daughter wanted, by giving him her pair of boots.

A classic. Simply a classic. I love it, it is a great heartwarming family classic all will love. Final grade is easily an A+. Classic

Very very special and touching episode! One of my favorites. When Arnold is trying to find Chrismas present to Mr. Hyunh, Helga's trying to find a gift for Arnold. Than Mr. Hyunh tells Arnold a story that happened to him and his daughter a long time ago. There was a war and he gave his daughter to soldiers to make sure she's gonna be okay. And then he's never seen her again. So Arnold want to find Mr. Hyuinh's daughter for him. He goes to the place where people get information about other lost people. But all the employees are to busy with Chrismas, only one man's still working. Arnold and Gerald ask him for help and the man says he's going to help, if Arnold and Gerald will do the Chrismas shopping for him. But Arnold and Gerald can't find a special snowboots, that are in the list. They ask man to skip snowboots part and find Mr. Hyunh daughter, but he doesn't want to help, if he's not gonna get the snowboots. And Helga was spying all the time on Arnold and she saw how bad he feels. Helga goes home sadly and her mother wanna make her happy and gives her snowboots - exactly the pair that Arnold needs. When Helga remember that her one true love needs those snowboots, she goes to the man who gets all info and give him boots. he doesn't want to accept the pair but Helga tells him about Arnold, who's never gonna believe in miracles again. Next scene: everybody gives presents each other, only Mr. Hyunh gets no gift and than somebody knock the door and... that's his daughter. Arnold still very surprised and he asks Gerald who could do that for me? Chrismas Angel - says Gerald...:) Owww, that's my favorite part! That's what angel Helga truly is:)

Its the day before Christmas.Grandpa decided that the borders would picked the name out of the jar and buy that person their christmas present.Arnold got Mr.Hyunh, unsure what to get for him for Christmas. So he sat there asking what would Mr.Hyunh want however Mr.Hyunh felt that this Christmas was an sad one of course. He begin to tell Arnold about his past and his daughter.Who he never saw again after she was taken. So Arnold thought for Christmas,he would Mr.Hyunh daughter and reunite them for Christmas. However it wasn't all that easy.Even doing an christmas shopping list for an worker who would help them to find the missing person.Unfortunelly luck run out for Arnold. However in the end Mr.Hyunh got his Christmas wish.

Yeah and its an happy ending.Yes Arnold did have an guardian angel watching him.I was actucally amaze that Helga would sacerfise her present to help Arnold.

  • A Hey Arnold! classic and a Christmas classic. I cry every time...

This is my favorite episode. I cry when Mr. Huynh and his daughter part in Vietnam because it is so sad and such a true story for many, and again when they are reunited, but for a totally opposite reason. Of course you can see the ending from a mile away, but I still want to watch it every Christmas (Nickelodeon usually plays it around then... hopefully they will keep it up). I think it shows a lot of real emotions, and it's way more than a "kid show." Not only that, but the characters are so realistic, especially the grumpy dad who still hasn't started his Christmas shopping on Christmas Eve. You have to know someone like that! If you get the chance to watch this episode, watch it. It really shows the true spirit of Christmas.
  • Great special episode.

This episode was very special because it was the first Christmas episode in the series and I liked it alot because it had many things in it like when the people receive their gifts and many things. I think this episode was one of the best in the series and deserves it's respect in many ways and it was the most special episode too because Arnold did many things and the people of the Boarding House too and Mr. Hyugh finds his daughter and for him was a very happy christmas and this episode was very good and deserves a good rating and I'll give it a 9.7 superb rating for my review.
