Ever notice that there's something strange about Helga but you just can't pinpoint it? Could it be that Helga has only one, huge, eyebrow? For that matter, Helga, Harold (who also has just one), Stinky (whose are well above his eyes), and Gerald seem to be the only kids that have any eyebrows (although Rhonda's hair may hide hers - Sid removes his hat in "Heat", and Iggy removes his glasses in "Downtown As Fruits", and neither has eyebrows)
Arnold dresses up in a banana suit and Gerald dresses up in a strawberry suit in this episode.
Look Hard: In "Eugene's Bike," Eugene's license plate says "YOOJ."
The name of the pool hall that Arnold and Gerald go to is called, Ernie's Pool Hall.
In the teeter-totter scene, Gerald's shirt is number 3 instead of 33.
Look Closely: At the beginning, Iggy can be seen without his sunglasses.
The characters in this show have only 3 finger's and a thumb. Unlike, the characters in say Doug or Rugrats.
To comment about Arnold and Eugene couldn't have had classes together since pre-school. Sure he could! I've had classes with a few of the same kids since 4th grade (that's when I moved). It's not uncommon for that to happen.
At the crosswalk, the white man flashes to warn pedestrians that the light is about to go back to the hand. Later episodes have the hand flash after the "walk" part, like real pedestrian traffic lights do.
When Arnold has to tie his shoe, he sets his books down on a bike in a bike rack. This causes the bike to tip over and makes all the other bikes in the rack to fall down. Eugene's bike falls into the middle of the street and get ran over. When Eugene finds out his bike is destroyed, he looks at Arnold and yells. Right after this, we get a good look at the bike rack. Notice that there are no bikes in or around the bike rack.
When Gerald is yelling at Arnold to come on, his mouth doesn't move.
Eugene said he got his bike on Flag Day, which is impossible because Flag Day is past the first day of school, and because it is a national holiday.
Eugene says he almost caught a "Studs McGee" ball, but both the video board and the baseball card says "Spuds McGee."
Arnold's Daydream: Surfing off the coast of an island inhabited by dinosaurs.
Helga: Know your lines? Of course you know your lines. But I don't want to just hear your lines...I want to hear what's in your souls. Curly: Do vegetables have souls?
Helga: Hey, where are the fruits? Phoebe: They're not here, Helga. They never showed up. Helga: What? Arn-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-ld! Arnold: (across town on a bus) Did you hear something just now?
Arnold: Wow, people downtown sure are friendly.
Young Helga: (In flashback) Hey, Arnold! Shake hands with Mr. Crab!
Character Debut(s): Arnold, Gerald, Helga, Harold, Phil, Phoebe.
