  • Great episode.

    9.4
This episode was a great one and the parrot that appeared in it was very funny and it made me laugh every time it talked but I didn't liked the way Helga didn't liked it because it was a bad thing but the way Arnold took care of it was a great thing and I really apreciated that but I didn't liked the way the komodo dragon ate the parrot because it was really scary and also when Mr. Simmons fainted I didn't like it neither but it was a great episode. Also I liked the other episode and the chocolate turtles looked good and all and the way Arnold and Gerald baked them I think it was a great thing, but Kimberly ate the chocolate turtles in which was a bad thing but somehow funny because it made me laugh also and the Campfire lass's accent is like Scottish and somehow funny also and I really liked to watch this episode and it deserves a good rating.moreless

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (4)

    • In "Chocolate Turtles", after the flour is first poured into the bowl and we see the clock, it's 5:15 PM but after the chocolate is stirred, the clock says 5PM.

    • When Arnold wakes up in the morning during the final scene(s), you can clearly see it is raining outside (there is a shot of the front of the boarding house where it is raining). But when Arnold is getting dressed and leaving the room, look at the ceiling--the sky depicts that it is a beautiful sunny day!

    • What Arnold is wearing is always under speculation. Well, there is proof in this episode that Arnold wears a red plaid button down shirt with a blue sweater over it and blue jeans. We know this because Arnold is getting ready for bed in this episode.

    • In the episode "Helga's Parrot," Helga leans into the window with a long net. She then proceedes to fall into Arnold's room. The net is left on top of the window, which we can clearly see on the closeup of Helga falling. But when she lands, look at the window. The net is gone!

  • QUOTES (4)

    • (Arnold and Gerald saw Timberly full right next to the empty chocolate turtle boxes)
      Arnold & Gerald: Timberly!
Timberly: I don't feel so good.
Gerald: What happened to all the chocolate turtles?
      Timberly: I don't know.
Gerald: What do you mean you don't know? Did you eat them all?
Timberly: Well, you said I could.
Gerald: What are you talking about? When?
Timberly: While you're watching TV, you said "Yeah, yeah, sure, sure. Just keep it down, we're watching our favorite TV show." Right, Arnold?
      Arnold: Uh...uh...
      Gerald: But all forty boxes?!
Timberly: I was hungry! (burst into tears)

    • Parrot: (repeating what Helga said) Arnold is my love.

    • Pet Store Salesgirl: Don't talk her out of buying it, kid. That lizard's been here so long, I'm teaching it to read.

    • Arnold: Why fight it? It's working.

  • NOTES (3)

  • ALLUSIONS (1)

    • Monty Python
The scene with the parrot getting killed and eaten by the monitor lizard seems to be a reference to the classic Monty Python "Dead Parrot" sketch.
