When Arnold wakes up in the morning during the final scene(s), you can clearly see it is raining outside (there is a shot of the front of the boarding house where it is raining). But when Arnold is getting dressed and leaving the room, look at the ceiling--the sky depicts that it is a beautiful sunny day!
What Arnold is wearing is always under speculation. Well, there is proof in this episode that Arnold wears a red plaid button down shirt with a blue sweater over it and blue jeans. We know this because Arnold is getting ready for bed in this episode.
In the episode "Helga's Parrot," Helga leans into the window with a long net. She then proceedes to fall into Arnold's room. The net is left on top of the window, which we can clearly see on the closeup of Helga falling. But when she lands, look at the window. The net is gone!
(Arnold and Gerald saw Timberly full right next to the empty chocolate turtle boxes)
Arnold & Gerald: Timberly!
Timberly: I don't feel so good.
Gerald: What happened to all the chocolate turtles?
Timberly: I don't know.
Gerald: What do you mean you don't know? Did you eat them all?
Timberly: Well, you said I could.
Gerald: What are you talking about? When?
Timberly: While you're watching TV, you said "Yeah, yeah, sure, sure. Just keep it down, we're watching our favorite TV show." Right, Arnold?
Arnold: Uh...uh...
Gerald: But all forty boxes?!
Timberly: I was hungry! (burst into tears)
Parrot: (repeating what Helga said) Arnold is my love.
Pet Store Salesgirl: Don't talk her out of buying it, kid. That lizard's been here so long, I'm teaching it to read.
Arnold: Why fight it? It's working.
The parrot is similar to the quaker parrot.
"Helga's Parrot" actually depicts death, dying, and/or killing when the monitor lizard eats the parrot.
Helga sees Arnold, possibly naked in this episode.
Monty Python
The scene with the parrot getting killed and eaten by the monitor lizard seems to be a reference to the classic Monty Python "Dead Parrot" sketch.
