    The school is doing the play "Romeo & Juliet." Arnold lands the role as Romeo, so Helga will do anything to beat out the other girls to get the part of Juliet, so that she can kiss Arnold in the final scene.

    Girl Trouble: Arnold, Gerald, Helga and Phoebe are all chosen to work together on a History project, and Helga and Arnold pour paint on each other. Grandpa Phil tells Arnold about his share of girl troubles with his now wife, Gertrude.

    School Dance: P.S. 118 is having a school dance, and Arnold is chosen to provide the music entertainment for everyone, and when Dino Spumoni agrees to play his farewell concert there, he sings a depressing song.

    Crabby Author: Arnold has to do a book report, and he decides to do it on his favorite author, Agitha Cawfield, but he sees her bad side when she is very crabby and rude to him.

    Rich Kid: There is a new kid at P.S. 118, but he isn't the playful type, and he doesn't know the definition of fun, so Arnold and the gang try to teach him to have fun and take a break off his busy schedule.moreless

    Part-Time Friends:
    When Gerald and Arnold are broke, they decide to get a job at Ms. Vitello's Flower Shop. Things start to get bad when Ms. Vitello hurts her back and has to stay home for a week, so she puts Gerald as the manager and has Arnold do all the work. They get into a huge argument and Arnold ends up quitting. Will Gerald and Arnold ever be friends again?

    Bio Square:
    Helga and Arnold locked in a greenhouse together for 24 hours? Now THERE'S a science fair project! They should both get a good grade on it - if they don't kill each other first.

    Phoebe Takes the Fall: P.S. 118 is holding an All City Academic Bowl, and Helga wants to win one trophy to get out of Olga's shadow, but Phoebe has to back out of the competition for Helga to make it.

    The Pig War: Grandpa Phil wants to re-enact the Pig War between the Americans and the British, but whoever wins gets a choice to eat the pig... Abner!moreless

    Helga performs impressions of her ates at the "Coco Hut," and they get offended and start ignoring her.

    The Flood:
    When school is out, Mr. Simmons' gets stuck in the school because of an upcoming flood. When the starts getting out of control, Arnold has to think quick.

    Arnold and Helga both think they are having the worst Thanksgivings ever. Arnold's family is celebrating President's Day, and Olga is at the Pataki house. When Arnold and Helga go to Mr. Simmons' house, they discover he has an obnoxious family, so they think their families aren't so bad after all.moreless

    Arnold & Lila:
    Helga, lost in a love reverie, writes "Arnold loves Helga" on a wall, but changes the name to "Lila" when the kids approach. Lila thinks that Arnold loves her until he explains the mistake. Then he falls for Lila and she is forced to break up with him.

    Grand Prix:
    The kids all try to outdo each other in a city-wide go-cart race.

    Best Man: The Coach wants to remarry Tish and asks Arnold to be his best man. Along the way, Arnold teaches the coach a thing or two about love and sacrifice.

    Cool Party: Rhonda has a party and only invites the cool kids. Arnold attends, but realizes her party is only for snobs. He leaves and has his own party with his buddies, and eventually Rhonda realizes that "geek" is cooler than "cool."moreless

    Career Day:
    It's Career Day at P.S. 118 and all of the children are being assigned temporary jobs with adults in a specified field. While many of the students in Arnold's are getting interesting jobs, Arnold gets stuck with the Jolly Olly man, much to his chagrin.

    Harold goes to a party and meets Big Patty, despite the fact he didn't want to talk to girls.moreless

  • Arnold Betrays Iggy: Arnold notices that Iggy wears bunny pajamas, and everybody find out about that, so they make fun of Iggy. Helga and the Nanny: Helga's parents hire a nanny, but Helga doesn't like her, so she tries whatever it takes to possibly get her nanny out of her house.moreless

    The Aptitude Test: After the results of an aptitude test are announced, Harold gains self-confidence and Helga feels dumber.

    Oskar Gets a Job: Arnold is instrumental in persuading Oskar to actually get off his butt and get a temporary job.

    Sid's Revenge: Principal Wartz gives Sid a detention believing he placed fake vomit so he could trip over, even though it wasn't Sid who put it there. As a result, Sid seeks revenge and creates "Revenge Doll" of Wartz's face, like they do in tribes. He thinks he killed Wartz with the curse. Arnold thinks he's paranoid, even though there are a few clues hinting out that Wartz is dead.

    Roller Coaster: Eugene wants to ride with the gang, but they all think he's a jinx and won't go with him. Arnold decides to break the cycle of pain and rides with Eugene, but they get stuck.moreless

  • 9/28/98

    Grandpa's Birthday:
    Grandpa Phil thinks he's going to die soon because no one in his family ever made it past his age. He prepares to die, and Arnold tries to convince him that life is still worth living.

    Road Trip:
    Helga and Miriam get stuck on the road together with no money. They get to know one another and Miriam saves the day when she wins a mechanical bull-riding competition.

    Curly Snaps:
    When Curly is cheated out of the kickball collecting position at school, he goes mad and he locks himself inside the principal's office. As the entire school becomes involved in this spreading crisis, Arnold is selected as a negotiator and he must figure out what exactly Curly is upset about.

    Pre-Teen Scream:
    Phoebe likes to be considered smart and reasonable, though she's really just like every girl her age, especially when it comes to the pop star Ronnie Mathews. Phoebe would like nothing more than to spend time with him, though when she wins two tickets to actually do such, she isn't certain if she'll have the resolve to go through with it.

  • Stinky Goes Hollywood:
    Stinky's simple life changes after he becomes the surprise new spokesman for Ya-Hoo Soda.

    Olga Gets Engaged:
    Olga brings home her surprise fiancé, who wins everyone over except Helga.

  • Arnold's Room: Sid pretends that Arnold's room is his, since he's ashamed of showing his real room to Lorenzo.

    Helga vs. Big Patty: After Helga makes fun of Patty too much, Patty challenges Helga to a fight.

    Casa Paradiso: Grandpa Phil becomes tired of dealing with the boarding house and decides to sell it. Arnold has to convince him how important it is for everyone to remain in the boarding house and what they would lose if it was sold.

    Gerald's Tonsils: Gerald has his tonsils removed before a big concert and must come to grips with the fact that his voice has changed.moreless

  • Dangerous Lumber: Arnold becomes a hot (and dangerous) hitter. He keeps injuring people everytime he swings the bat. Afraid of hurting more people, Arnold refuses to play ball. Mickey Kaline helps him out.

    Mr. Hyunh Goes Country: Arnold and Gerald manage the career of the most unlikely country-and-western singer, Mr. Hyunh.

  • Helga Blabs It All: While feeling the effects of laughing gas, Helga leaves a confessional message of love on Arnold's phone machine. She then has to get into the boarding house in order to erase the message.

    Harold the Butcher: After Harold shoplifts some meat from the butcher shop, he is sentenced to work off his punishment. Harold realizes he has discovered his calling and that he wants to become a butcher.moreless
