  • Very good episode.

    9.5
This episode was a very good one because Big Bob and Helga spend a quantity time together in which is a good thing and I really liked the way they saw the "Rats" a play because it was really funny that play in the series and Helga and Bob were laughing together in which is also a good thing and I laughed when I saw the "Rats" in this episode because they were funny and all. The other episode was also good and Arnold's grandpa, Phil plays chess in which is a really fun to play game in my opinion and Phil beats Robbie Fischer in which is a good thing and I really liked when Arnold trains Phil to play chess and I really apreciated watching this episode and it deserves a good rating.moreless

    • (Big Bob & Helga go grocery shopping)
Big Bob: Hmm, so none of this stuff is cooked, huh?
Helga: Mom always does that part.
      Big Bob: Corn's always good.
Helga: I hate corn. I don't eat corn.
Big Bob: Corn and potatoes and lima beans. Shopping's easy.
Helga: I don't eat any of that stuff. (Helga sees Big Bob getting strawberries) Dad, what's the matter with you?! Are you trying to kill me?!
Big Bob: Pipe down! You are out of control!
Helga: I'm allergic to strawberries! They give me hives! And I don't need any of this junk. Pork rinds, smoked mackerel, pig's feet? Yuck!
Big Bob: Hey, hey, hey! How am I supposed to know you don't eat pig's feet?
Helga: You don't know anything about me, dad.
Big Bob: You're a kid. What's there to know?

    • Grandpa: Chinese checkers is a game of marbles, and I've already lost most of mine!

    • Big Bob: (Thinking) Great, now I have to sit through this stupid musical for three hours.
Helga: (Thinking) Great, now I have to sit through this stupid musical for three hours.

    • Rats: (Singing) Rats, we're rats. We're furry and forlorn. We live in sewers, love in sewers, and our hearts are torn. We laugh, we cry, we sing in harmony. I love her, I love him, and darn it, he loves me. Oh, rats, rats, rats, rats, rats.

  • NOTES (3)

    • Character Debut: Robbie Fischer.

    • Robbie Fischer is based on the famous chess player Bobby Fischer (1943-2008), who had been known for being the only American chess champion of the world. However, he was also known for his hate for America during the turn of the millennium and died as an Icelandic citizen.

    • If you have closed captioning enabled, check out the credits. The lyrics for a song can be seen, yet you can only hear the typical ending theme. This song is about rats, and judging by the way the lyrics go, Nickelodeon probably thought this was not suitable for kids.
