    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    FILTER BY TYPE

    • TRIVIA (1)

      • In "Baby Oskar," after Arnold feeds the baby some food, we still see the food on the spoon, even though it just went into the baby's mouth! And then we see the baby, but when the "camera" is turned back to Arnold, there is no food on the spoon!

    • QUOTES (7)

      • Helga: Showtime.
(Helga runs to her bus seat as she takes one shoe off)
Arnold: I can't believe I'm actually gonna do this. (Arnold starts massaging Helga's barefoot)
Helga: (Giggles as Lila and Arnie watched) Oh, Arnold that tickles. Oops, excuse us.
(Lila and Arnie pass them as they sit on back of the bus)

      • Helga: Look Arnie, you're talking in circles. Spit it out! What the heck are you trying to say?
        Arnie: I love you.
Helga: (gives a look of horror and disgust) Excuse me?...

      • Suzie: (to Arnie) What are your hobbies?
Arnie: I like to count things.
Oskar: Count things? Suzie, What kind of stupid answer is that?
        Suzie: Oskar!
        Oskar: What? He's an idiot!
Suzie: He is not an idiot, he's just a little shy. (back to Arnie) What else are you interested in?
        Arnie: Gum. Plain flavored gum.
Suzie: (whispers to Oskar) Okay...so maybe he's a little slow.

      • Stinky: I still can't understand how Lila could prefer your plain, homely, dull-as-dirt cousin Arnie over you, Arnold. I mean you're no Dapper Dan, but you're sure a lot better-looking than Arnie, and you're a lot more fun to talk to. But she just likes him better. Look at her glow!
        Arnold: (annoyed) Stinky... shut up!
        Stinky: What did I say?

      • Suzie: (to Oskar) When are you going to grow up and be responsible?
        Oskar: I'll do it tomorrow.

      • Oskar: Suzie, make me a sandwich.

      • Nancy: (to Suzie) You know, we named 'Baby Oskar' before we knew your Oskar.

    • NOTES (4)

    • ALLUSIONS (1)

      • Oskar: Right, it's always a day away.

Just like the song that little orphan girl signs. This a reference to the song "Tomorrow" from the Broadway musical Annie.
