(Jake questions Danny)
Jake: The important thing to do is to ignore the overwhelming circumstantial evidence; like the fact that Ted was desperate and would do anything to get that cassette player, or the fact that Ted was next to Brad during the blackout, or the fact that it was Ted's idea to call off the Monopoly game, or the fact that it was his idea to postpone the search, or even the fact that Ted wasn't even there at the search this morning.
Jake: Just ignore all that. The thing to do now is to examine the criminal psychological profile which would prove Ted's innocent. Now what kind of guy is going to steal money from his friends?
Danny: I don't know.
Jake: Is it going to be the kind of guy who doesn't think of the effects of his actions, who's a little self centered, a little thoughtless?
Danny: Like Ted!
Jake: That does sound like Ted doesn't it? We solved the crime Ted did it.
