Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi follows the adventures of two very cool, but very different pop stars as they travel from gig to gig or just hang out in their tour bus. Being famous rock stars, Ami and Yumi tour the globe in their customized Puffy bus, a veritable condo on wheels with all the major amenities and an ever-changing interior. Ami is the peppy, positive, and resourceful one. Yumi is the hard-rocking, no-nonsense cynic with an absolutely infallible sense of cool. Together, these superstars take the world by storm with musical talent, trend-setting style and humor, despite occasional misjudgments from their well-meaning but tragically square manager, Kaz. Whether they're rockin' out to a concert, being chased to the center of the Earth by an obsessed fan, evading opera, or saving farms, Ami and Yumi always come out on top - dishing out lessons in J-Pop justice and the international language of "cool" along the way. Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi also features live-action segments starring the real-life Puffy AmiYumi as well as the group's catchy J-Pop hits. Though the cartoon Ami and Yumi have American voices, they also sometimes speak a bit of Japanese.moreless

  • A show about 2 very cool girls who died in 2006.

    One of the best shows ever in Cartoon Network (3rd in mah list) till Cartoon Network said they hated girly shows, japanese music, and japanese. And they replaced it with "Out of Jimmys Head". Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi is a show bout 2 rockstars based on real life j-pop singers who go all around the world in their world tour stuff. And their manager Kaz who's also real. I loved the show when it first aired. Season 1 was perfect. Season 2 kinda made me bored. And season 3 had some awesome episodes. The thing that was bad about this show was the characters. Ami and Yumi had good desgins, except for people. They looked ugly. And the background designing was horrible, and the sun looked nothing like an actual sun. But now it's cancelled. Just because of a very stpud reason (Japanese music hate). And replaced it with "Out of Jimmy's Wiener". And it's cancelled too. And i heard rumors that the company "Renegade" that made HHPAYS and OOJH are going to shut down. Overall this shows great, watching a show about 2 sexy girls, and a hilarious manager, and 2 cats that acts like TOM and JERRY seems like a funny show to view sometime. Cough *Crack*moreless

    Why I didn't pick it up before: My family made me insecure and tease me when I watch shows with female protagonists when I was younger. Perfect role models if you ask me. Now that I'm older I can just shrug those off.

    I just picked up on Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi recently. I mean I haven't watched all episodes yet but so far so good. I find the animation interesting and amazing just because for me, it fits the style of the show so no problems there. The characters may not be the most original character ever made in animation history but they are very lovable and memorable...sorta. And I like the jokes a lot. They even made me laugh and get scolded for it once or twice, something modern cartoons have not been able to make me do. I wish this show stayed longer than it should and I find it a bad, scratch that, stupid move by CN to cancel such a good show.

    This show is so awsome. Here are the reasons its my favorite show.
    1. The animation is very good and colorful.
    2. It has some funny humor in it.
    3. It got me into the band that became my favorite, Puffy
    4. Ami and Yumi are very cute looking. You don't see that on other shows.
    But I hate the fact that CN is treating this show like trash.
    Why must CN do the biggest mistakes in TV history. And I also hate it when people make me mad by making a big deal out of me loving this show. At least this show is better then any other CN show. And Puffy's music is better then most of the singers my friends like. This show is so great that its made my way to my heart and I wish I could go back to win this show was a smash hit on CN and it will always be a smash hit to me.

    When I first saw an ad for this show, I thought "Why would any guy want to watch a show that is focused on girls?" But when I decided to give this show a chance, I thought "Can't judge a book by its cover!" It featured rock stars. A kind, cute and exquisite one named Ami and a cool, hot and tough as nails one named Yumi. The girls would go on misadventures and adventures. Just remember, Ami and Yumi have hair that is pink and lavender! Not black or brown! One of the biggest complaints is the ugly background characters. This makes them even more exquisite than they are already! I wish Cartoon Network didn't get rid of it. How dare they?!?!? I hate CN for getting rid of this! This was the best show Cartoon Network ever made up. Same with Foster's Home, Camp Lazlo, KND, Billy and Mandy, PPG and My Gym Partner's a Monkey. Now, Cartoon Network is being run by alcoholics. I would like this show to return. The music from the band Puffy is very unique.The show is more than 1,000,000,000 times better than he Life and Times of Juniper Lee, Class of 3000, Out of Jimmy's Head and Ben 10! PUFFY FOREVER!!!!moreless

    This is a really good show. I really do like the main characters Ami and Yumi. But mostly Ami. Well, when this show first aired on Cartoon Network, I did see some episodes of it, but It really didn't grab my attention. Yeah, I was more into Thomas and Friends and an anime called Mermaid Melody. And after 2005, I've never hear about it again. But recently, I've rediscovered this show and I like it now, as I am currently watching the episodes on Youtube. It is really good, for flash animation. I like the character designs for Ami and Yumi. Oh, and I found Kaz to be just like Mr. Krabs. A money loving character. It's a decent show, though it can get a little crazy and gross sometimes, but it's not that bad, like Fanboy and Chum Chum. (YUCK!) So, now, Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi is one of my new favorite shows. And also, I was looking foward to watch this show on Cartoon Network on 1/3/11, thanks to the scam on facebook saying it'll return. Now I know that Cartoon Network is being run by people who are drinking alcohol. This is getting out of hand. Anyway, Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi, good show, glad I'm watching it now, it's way better than Out Of Jimmy's Head, worth watching. Oh, one more thing, in my opinion, 2005 is the last decent year for Cartoon Network. Also, I would like to thank a youtube user for brining up this show, which is how I rediscovered it.moreless
