Yumi's bikini top looks like it's flapping off in one scene.
Yumi: I think that parrot has been sniffing too much surfboard wax.
Parrot: Beware of the Mondo Swirl Betty. Biggest, baddest, wave of all.
Ami: Where are our rackets? We can't play tennis without rackets. Timmy: You don't need rackets the way I play.
Kaz: This is the worst day ever! Yumi: On second thought, hanging with an eight-year old isn't that bad. (Kaz continues with a tantrum)
Ami: Not even Kaz can't mess this up. Yumi: I'm sure he'll find a way.
Ami: (about Kaz) He needs a girlfriend. Yumi: Hey, that's a great idea! But one thing, who would date him?
Ami: Isn't it great to share a best friend to have fun times with? Yumi: Yeah, especially when she's doing all the work.
Kaz: (on cellphone) Mommy, is that you? You sound younger. Yumi: Quit feeding your face and start talking to your date before I come over there and pound you. (Kaz puts down his cellphone to see Ami and Yumi at a table across from him) Ami: (waves to Kaz)
Courtney: Hi! I'm Courtney, but you can call me Smitten! Kaz: Hi, Smitten! I'm Kaz. Courtney: Hey! Your funny. Wanna hang out later? Kaz: Uh, I think we have to rehearse. Right, girls? (Ami and Yumi push Kaz closer to Courtney) Ami and Yumi: He'd love to.

"Surf's Up" is the 2nd "anime" beach episode to be banned from America. The 1st was "Beauty and the Beach" from "Pokemon." This episode was banned due to the word "tsunami" in its name and references to the word used in the episode because this episode was aired on 12/31/04, a few days after the tsunami. Beauty and the Beach was banned due to James' inflatable suit.

"Tsunami Yumi" was not aired due to the big tsunami in Asia that occurred just a few days before this episode was set to premiere. However, this episode is now airing on Cartoon Network along with "Stupid Cupids" and "Brat Attack," but with the title "Surfs Up" in other countries but not in America which is stupid and pointless since it didn't affect America at all.
