Hidden Palms

Liza believes that Cliff and Greta murdered Eddie. Johnny doesn't believe her. He also confronts her about her lies about not knowing Eddie. She asks why Eddie didn't leave a note for his suicide and Johnny says that his dad left a note.



Karen tries to get Johnny to play in a golf tournament with Bob. He tells her that he's only accepted him as her husband and not his father, and Bob overhears. Nikki tells Cliff that she's staying at Jesse Jo's. Johnny goes to Greta's house. He sees a picture of her in an angel costume on Halloween, the night that Eddie died. She tells him that he's free to bring up Eddie. Johnny asks why Eddie didn't leave a note, but Greta says he did. At the pool, Cliff wants to have sex with Nikki, but she seems to be hesitating. Liza searches Cliff's pants and gets his keys. Cliff catches her, so she plays innocent and gives the keys back, claiming they fell out of his pants. Greta shows the letter to Johnny. It's a quote by Tennyson. They start making out and proceed to have sex, until Greta's dad, Skip, walks in.



Johnny leaves Greta's house. Greta confronts her father about his visit. Karen and Bob are setting up for the party. Johnny talks to Liza and tells her about Eddie's letter. She says that he hated Tennyson. Skip meets Karen and he hits on her, but Bob comes in time. Skip sees Tess and they talk and he hits on her. Liza sneaks into Cliff's house at night. She tries accessing his computer, but he and Nikki walk in, so she hides in his closet as they have sex. Johnny and Greta talk about Bob. Skip shows up, so Johnny leaves. Greta tells him that he's never been a father to her and he never will be. Nikki leaves Cliff, with Liza still in the closet. Cliff goes after Nikki and Liza then finds something shocking under Cliff's floorboards.



Johnny shows up for the golf tournament. Skip hits on Tess once again and they make plans for dinner. Johnny and Bob see Skip and Cliff. Cliff hits a good shot, but Johnny doesn't do so well his first shot, so Bob gives him a "mulligan" or a second chance. On his second shot, he does decently. Cliff and Johnny talk about Greta. Johnny tells Cliff that he heard that Eddie was murdered. Bob tries to help Johnny with his swing, but Johnny tells him to stop. Liza catches up with Johnny, but leaves when Cliff comes over. Cliff and Johnny talk about the IMs and where he and Greta were the night Eddie died. After Johnny looks at Liza when making a remark about the person sending the IMs, Cliff looks suspicious of her.



Bob tries to make it seem as if he and Johnny got along during the golf game. Tess sees Skip, but he is with a younger woman and he pretty much cancels his and Tess's dinner. Nikki and Cliff talk. She says that she's attracted to bad boys and scared of good ones, but he is both. Tess interrupts Skip's date. She reminds them about their plan for drinks and then splashes one in his face. Bob tells Johnny that, whether he likes it or not, he isn't going anywhere. While cleaning up, Liza hears her name whispered. She finds Cliff in a mask. He tells her a descriptive way of him killing Eddie, but he says that he didn't, but that's how he would've done it. He then tells her to butt out.



Cliff meets Nikki outside. Skip tells Greta that he's decided to stay for a while. Skip reminds her of the night that Eddie died and how she needed him. He also implies that she killed Eddie and he made the police think it was a suicide. In her garage, Liza is startled by Johnny. He tries to convince her that it was just a suicide, but then she shows him Greta's Halloween costume. It has blood on it and she found it in Cliff's room. Bob and Karen arrive home and Bob finds a golf club with a card next to it. It's from Johnny and he's asking for a mulligan. There is a montage of Skip, Tess, Johnny, Greta, and Nikki. Cliff shows up at Mrs. Nolan's house. They start kissing.
