  • More mad goings-on in the South Wales valleys.

    9.3
High hopes is another comedy show, made and set in Wales, and co-written by Satellite City creator Boyd Clack (who also stars in a supporting role).

The story is about two homeless teenagers who, after an unsuccessful burglary, end up living with an agoraphobic ex-con (wrongly imprisoned) who runs a dodgy import/export business from his house, and his elderly mother who also lives there.

The boys decide join the business and become his apprentices

This show is very similar to Satellite City, in that it draws its humour from the valleys of South Wales but, as with that show, you don't have to be welsh to understand and enjoy the sometimes absurd situations that the characters often find themselves sucked into.moreless
