A gut wrenching and heartbreaking episode. The team loses two of its members to gunfire after a military-style bank robbery goes wrong. Lenny Gayer is shot a mile from the scene by a stray bullet, causing paralysis from the waist down, and Michael Rhoades is shot in the head with little hope for survival. This particular episode marks the end of High Incident, one of the most realistic and down-to-earth cop shows to grace television. This episode was also a turning point for the series in another way, as it marked a change from realistic portrayal of police work in the Los Angeles suburbs, to a more flashy, explosion, action-oriented theme. However, by this time the show was not renewed for another season.
