      • Flashbacks: England 1746, Scotland 1746, England 1779

      • The plot of this episode closely mirrors that of third season's "Blind Faith." In that episode, MacLeod struggles over whether to take action against a man responsible for some evil deeds in the past, during Viet Nam, even though the man has (supposedly) turned over a new leaf. He even goes so far as to challenge the man, but can't bring himself to take his head b/c he refuses to take up a sword and defend himself. In the end they part on decent terms, with MacLeod convinced that his old enemy really HAS changed. In this episode, of course, the roles are basically reversed.
