  • Another epic episode.

I'm just amazed at how epic Hikaru no Go already is. Its execution is better then most action shounens. With Hikaru telling Touya that he wasn't going to play him, it showed so much emotion and some suspense for the future match ups. This scene alone really dictated how the rest of the episode was going to turn out; Touya returns to his school and joins the Go club despite being much farther ahead then even the seniors. It also dictates Hikaru's destiny; who is determined more then ever now that he's going to defeat Touya without the aid of Sai. An overall enjoyable watch and just an epic episode.moreless

    • Hikaru: How is it? Is it okay? It's not crooked right?
      Akari: Yeah looks okay.
      Hikaru: Who asked you?
Akari: But I helped you color it in!

    • Akari: What?! Are you blaming me for your loss!
Hikaru: Well it is your fault!

    • Akira: Shindou...why is someone like you in the school Go club? Are you not coming to the Go Salon anymore? I'm usually there. No matter who I play with, I'm constantly thinking about you…How would you respond to each of my moves? I've become stronger since then so that I won't be embarrassed by you again. I'm waiting for you. I came to say that.
Hikaru: I'm not gonna play against you.

    • Akari: Are you talking about the one where Hikaru entered pretending to be a Junior High student? Is Hikaru really that strong?
      Hikaru: Be quiet.

    • Kimihiro Tsutsui: Ms.Tamako, the chemistry teacher gave a Go board and some stones. And if it's available after school, we can use the chemistry lab too.

    • Tetsuo Kaga: With greater power comes greater privilege. Our basketball team's strong so it only makes sense.
