No Body's Perfect

Aired Thursday 10:00 PM Dec 09, 1982 on NBC

Episode Recap

Phil addresses the problem with the hyperactive heating unit overproducing at the station, updates the officers about the imposter governor’s dog, and assigns new pairings to teams. Just as he is discussing these new duo assignments with Hill, a fight breaks out between Renko and Coffey over him being with Renko’s girl the night before.

A terrified Eddie haunts the precinct, getting in Belker’s way. Furillo tries to warn Coroner Nydorf that everyone wants to see him retire and that the court will make mince of him in the case of the missing autopsy report. Later, Belker busts Sid the Snitch with the help of LaRue and Washington. Jesus Martinez returns the governor’s dog, only to entrust it to a careless Howard. Grace tries to win back Phil, and Renko’s ex-girlfriend confesses that nothing happened between her and Coffey.

Eddie warns his lover of the pending arrest, and Wally Nydorf gets creamed on the witness stand. Cowardly Crawford redeems himself during the arrest of Eddie’s murderous lover and shows he’s got some moxy. Renko apologizes to Coffey. Nydorf downplays the seriousness of his jeopardizing the role of Chief Coroner to Furillo, even as Furillo urges him to quit.
