Charlemagne: I'm the king of the Franks!
Toast: The hot dogs?
Father Time: Thanks to Gutenberg, by the end of the cntury, forty thousand different books had been published.
Toast: Ah, man. Think about how many book reports we're gonna haveta write. Bummer!
Froggo: Hey mister Gutenberg, do you have a bottle of glue and some tadpoles?
Johannes Gutenberg: Ja, but what are you going to do with them?
Froggo: You can read about it in my new book: "101 Uses For Glue and Tadpoles".
Pepper: (to Johannes Gutenberg) It's you, it's really you! I adore you! I love your work! I just gotta have your autograph! You totally drip with talent! (Gutenberg signs the book) Wait a minute, you're not Steve Gutenberg!
The portrayal of Michaelangelo in the "Scrapple in the Chapel" sketch, based off of actor Kirk Douglas, had also been used on Animaniacs in the segment "Hooked on a Ceiling."
During the "Scrapple in the Chapel" sketch, the pugilists are called Leonardo "Boom Boom" da Vinci and "Smokin' Joe" Michaelangelo, referencing the boxers Ray "Boom Boom" Mancini and "Smokin'" Joe Frasier.
