    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    FILTER BY TYPE

    • TRIVIA (3)

      • Firewood is uncharacteristically stacked outside the barracks.

      • During one scene when the camera moves in to Klink in his office, you can clearly see the cameraman's shadow on Klink.

      • When the POWs are rolling in the "snow," it seems to cover their uniforms more like flour than snow might -- it probably looked more realistic when seen on a low-resolution 17" screen back in 1965.

    • QUOTES (5)

      • Schultz: One case of horse doveres.
LeBeau: No, no, no-hors d'oeuvres, Schultz, hors d'oeurvres.

      • Klink: You know, you really don't understand us, that's why you're losing the war.
Hogan: I'm sorry, sir. It's the easy living that's ruined us Americans.

      • Klink: I ordered an officer's club and a ship comes out...in the middle of a prison camp 60 miles from the North Sea!

      • Hogan: (after the men ask him how Michaels will escape) If there's one thing I can't stand it's men with small, petty minds.

      • Klink: Just by chance-by chance, mind you-does the name 'Michaels' ring a bell with you?
Hogan: Michaels? Michaels...yes. Yes, it does, yes it does.
        Klink: It does?
Hogan: Yeah. I knew this English girl, Diane Michaels...a beauty. Peaches-and-cream complexion.
Klink: That is not the Michaels I had in mind. This one has a mustache.
Hogan: Oh, we're talking about two different girls.
