Aired Friday 8:30 PM Dec 23, 1967 on CBS

  • Trivia

  • Quotes

    • Hogan: Why not call Berlin and ask them?
      Klink: Forget it!
Hogan: Very generous of you, Kommandant. A few more decisions like that, I could almost be convinced to come over to your side--almost.
Klink: Hogan, who needs you? (Schultz chuckles)

    • Kinch: Now, there's one thing I still don't understand, Colonel.
      Hogan: What?
Kinch: Well, if they really believe that Carter's for real, why'd the woman try to kill him?
Hogan: I don't know. Maybe she gets her kicks that way.
Newkirk: Yeah, when you spend the whole day making poison gas, you got to have something for relaxation.
LeBeau: A pussycat, a real pussycat.

    • Hogan: Carter, just tell me one thing. Why did you do it?
Carter: I don't remember, Colonel, why did I do it?
Hogan: Because you're rotten clear through? (leaves)
      Carter: Gee.

    • Hogan: Who here knows anything at all about chemical warfare? Who else could convince the Germans that he was in chemical warfare before he was captured? Who else could get on the inside and find out the location of that factory? Who?
Carter: You really think I can do that, Colonel?
Hogan: No, it's just that we don't have anyone else.

    • Newkirk: Woman?
      Hogan: What woman?
LeBeau: The one that came with the general.
Hogan: Is it his wife? Who?
LeBeau: Not his wife, that's for sure.
      Hogan: Scientist?
LeBeau: I wouldn't mind working in her laboratory.

  • Notes

    • This episode (#5784-62) was filmed during the second season between "The Top Secret Top Coat" (#5784-61) and "The Reluctant Target" (#5784-63) and was held over for the third season.  Also, the episode was finally shown during a holiday week (Dec. 23) which usually indicates the producers didn't think highly of it and wanted to burn it off during a period of low viewership.

    • This episode marks the first of three unrelated appearances by Antoinette Bower.

    • This episode marks the second of four unrelated appearances by John Myhers.

    • This episode appears second on the VHS collection's "Escape Route" volume.
